A powerful video message from a woman who died yesterday.

Her husband was martyred in 1956 while trying to teach the Indians of Ecuador about Christ.

She returned to that land to share Jesus with her husband's killers.

A picture of Jesus' grace and mercy, she now rests in His arms.

God personally took the role of suffering servant. If that did not show that God marks suffering with a meaning, nothing could.

Eternal rest grant unto Elisabeth Elliot, O Lord. Let Thy perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in peace.

"You are loved with an everlasting love, and underneath are the everlasting arms."

That is the quote she used to open her daily 15 minute radio program. I was very fond of her voice; it was so warm and inviting. More than that, though, she spoke with great wisdom, something that is sorely lacking in the church today. As I sit and contemplate where she is now, I smile, knowing that she now knows "the everlasting arms" with nothing between, and she gets to hear, "Well done good and faithful servant."

I was eight years old when these men were martyred. I remember it because it made a great impression on my mother.

I thought at that time that they were idiots. Time has shown how wrong I was.

Please Lord receive her with open arms into your house. We should all live as victoriously as she.
