Pope didn't get many compliments in the thread's comment section.

Dear Pope:

If you know someone who is hungry — YOU feed them. You are a good person, I know you will dig deep into your own pockets.

STOP trying to dig into mine.

Sincerely,
Ben

How much does this Pope talk about the Church’s mission of bringing people to Christ?
All I ever hear out of him is global warming and social justice

“Whoever originated the cliche that money is the root of all evil knew hardly anything about the nature of evil and very little about human beings.”

I'm thinking that Hoffer meant to say “the evil of nature!”

God tells us that “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.”

I’m confident that he knows what he is talking about.

Karl Marx HATED religion.

He thought it was “the opiate of the masses”.

I’m sure he’d get a kick out of the Pope being his biggest cheerleader in 2015.

Dear Pope:

If it weren’t for wealthy nations and capitalism, the world’s poor would be much, much worse off than they are.

How many people did the Soviet Union lift out of poverty? Cuba? Venezuela?

Remember when the Vatican sold off all it's wealth to help the poor?

Yeah, me neither.

The Savage Nation at this moment is going off on him.

How many billions of dollars is the Catholic Church sitting on?

Spend some of your own money before you start bad-mouthing me for working hard, putz.

It could be that you're hearing reports from the American media.

I only take seriously what's between quotation marks.

I'm reserving judgement until this encyclical is published.

When I found out the new Pope was a Jesuit, my heart and stomach sank. I feel that they are trouble, to put it mildly.
I consoled myself with two facts:
1.
The infallibility of the Pope lies ONLY IN CHURCH DOCTRINE
2.
We, in the Catholic Church, have many disgraceful, horrible times, including when we had two Popes.
But, what the Church teaches, the tenets of the religion, are what I truly believe. And sometimes I have to silently recite The Apostles Creed to restore myself. It is getting harder and harder with Francis.
No Man is going to destroy my Faith.

“Social Justice” is the core of Communism. The system provides little “Justice” and creates a miserable society.

However, it does provide power and spoils to the leaders and Party Members.

The Pope should focus his eyes on those countries, ruled by communists, to try to find “Justice.” What an idiot he is!

The Church should be looking for the conspiracy that caused the former pope to resign and where his replacement was found. Something is rotten in the Vatican.

There’s church property in almost every country in the world. Maybe the Pope can sell some and feed the hungry... or he can stop pushing commie ideas that cause starvation...
