Establishment Republicans desperately trying to secure the passage of Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), which would give President Obama fast-track authority to secure congressional approval of at least three secretive trade deals, are now willing to increase taxes on small businesses in a way that would violate a pledge almost every Republican Congressman has taken when elected into office.
To secure final passage through Congress of a package that would include TPA fast-track authoritywhich would ensure finalization of the secretive Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA), among other dealsthe House would need to pass the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) package that was necessary for Senate passage of TPA. The House voted TAA down 302-126 with widespread bipartisan opposition to last week, but House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)and his allies in House GOP leadership have pledged that they will try to pass it again early next week. The vote would potentially be on Monday, but more likely on Tuesdayand if there is no vote by Tuesday, its unlikely that Ryan will be able to succeed in his ploy to revive TPA.

FUGOPe!!
Anyone beside me think Alex Swoyer warrants a Pulitzer Prize for his last 20 or so news articles?
Alex is a breathtakingly...muckraking journalist.

That woman has credentials.
Yes, she is simply amazing.
Is it time to reenact the French revolution yet?
ALL Enormously Significant.
Are you the one who pulled this from Breaking News?
No wonder the DC elites are keeping some other bills secret in a secret room.
Things like article says could cost many a RINO or fake conservative
their seat.
It will be fun to see which GOP RINO or fake conservative votes not
once, but twice for Obamatrade.
There will be no excuse or escape for those who end up voting twice
for this con on the American people.
2 consecutive mid-term landslides pissed down the drain.
Pissed away for what? Amnesty pimps and greedy globalist.
Speaking of Andrew, I cannot believe it's already been over three years since he passed. I know he would be proud of the legacy he left in the Breitbart News Network.
If any candidate tells you they will not raise taxes are lying through their teeth.
Decades of fiscal mismanagement in D.C. have placed our nation in dire straits. National debt quickly approaching 20 trillion and likely close to 22 trillion once Obozo leaves office.
Unfunded “promised” liabilities, social security/medicare are around 60 to 70 trillion. The world economy is beginning to cool.
Millions of good paying manufacturing positions shipped overseas.
They WILL raise taxes, they have no choice.
No, but I put it back in.
Title II - Extension of Trade Adjustment Assistance
The title may be cited as the "Trade Adjustment Assistance Reauthorization Act of 2015"
This section extends TAA from December 31, 2013 to June 30, 2021 so now I wonder just what the TAA they voted down was.
If you read the whole section following that heading it continues the TAA that expired in 2013 so is what was voted down a different TAA, a modification to the TAA that TPA continues, or is what was voted down supposed to replace what TPA continues ??
It seems to me half the TPA is modifications to existing law that no one has bothered to explain or even mention. The way the TAA thing is working out, explaining exactly what's going on is exactly what they're all trying to avoid.
I really don’t understand this. Isn’t the Republican Party supposed to ENCOURAGE small business formation? They’ve become the Globalist Entitlement Party, and only represent about 5% of the population.
Hell current administration raised payroll tax rates, took away tax deductions, created regulatory fees to go up, and the cost of every office supply to go up so we don’t need higher taxes.
Its never enough for the current administration. They want to suck small business dry until most close their doors until they control all businesses.
