FOOD FOR THE SOUL: THE CHOPIN NOCTURNES

This two-nocturne opus was written in 1846 when Chopin was 36 and being eaten slowly to death by tuberculosis. After hearing the unusual harmonies Fred uses, I suspect that had he lived long enough to hear Wagner’s “Tristan,” he wouldn’t have been all that shocked.
