After weeks of silence, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke on the House floor Friday against legislation to give President Barack Obama fast-track trade authority and a related bill to provide aid to workers displaced by trade. We have an opportunity to slow down, the California Democrat said. Whatever the deal is with other countries, we want a better deal for Americas workers.

.... I believe this whole thing was an exercise in tarnishing the GOP and creating powerful optics for the Democrats to distance themselves from Obama leading into the next election. If this thing did indeed pass .... then the Dems would still have come out on top of the propaganda heap. For them this was a win win situation.
.... On the opposite side of the isle .... leading Republicans have been tarnished and the Party divided ... another win for the Democrat propaganda machine. This is not the time for Republicans to compromise and co-operate on anything at all!

But imagine the dilemma for Obama fans today: he was being supported by rinos that they hate, yet their beloved far left libs went against the pres. How can they reconcile this????
I don’t know if I quite agree with her motivations. I doubt they are the least bit pure.
My guess is her and her husband’s business interests would be hurt by the deal. It is too early to bring out the populism voters right now. BUT, as long as it was defeated that’s good enough.

She’s just doing what the unions want. Obama will be gone in a year an a half. Unions are forever.
