Ted Cruz Channels Paul Ryan: 'A Lot of Misinformation' on Obamatrade That 'You Can Get on the [net]'
Breitbart ^ | 6/11/15 | Matthew Boyle

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)96%, a 2016 Republican presidential candidate, defended his decision to vote for Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) that would fast-track the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA)—among other deals—during a Thursday interview with the Hugh Hewitt radio program.

Hewitt started his line of questioning with coming out of a commercial. “Let’s take that opportunity, then, to go and talk about free trade—TPA, TPP, Export-Import Bank. Sen. Cruz, for clarity’s sake, can you quickly give us an overview on where you are on those three issues, as there’s quite a lot of confusion among conservative voters as to where different people are and why on each of those three issues.”

“Sure,” Cruz responded. “There is a lot of confusion and, unfortunately, a lot of misinformation you can get on the Internet that people are confused, so let’s explain what each of those three are.”

Cruz, by saying that, was essentially making the exact same claim—blaming the Internet for what he argues is “misinformation”—as House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)60%. Ryan made the claim on Fox News earlier on Thursday in response to Breitbart News reporting highlighted by the massively influential Drudge Report. Ryan, with whom Cruz pushed Obamatrade in a Wall Street Journal op-ed in late April—one that’s been used by Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)40% to try to rally support for Obamatrade—has been essentially discredited by various false statements he’s made throughout this process.

That Cruz would use the same talking points as him is interesting and probably disappointing to many conservatives. That Boehner is using Cruz to push Obamatrade is probably even more disappointing to most conservatives... ...

All men lie, politicians even moreso. Turns out Cruz is just another DC insider.

I really don’t care what you believe or what you don’t believe. It is of absolutely no matter to me.

I see, you can't answer a question so you just sling trash and personal attacks.

It figures, that's about all anyone seems to have to justify their cheer-leading for Cruz. Hot air, name calling, and swooning over getting good speech from him.

“Sadly, I don’t think people care to listen to him. No wonder some of us can never find anyone good enough to vote for. We put candidates on the chopping block for the slightest perceived offense, whether true or not. As I wrote, Senator Cruz is very, very good on so many issues. Why would we suddenly distrust him on this one? Wouldn’t it be wise to at least give it a closer look? Maybe he’s right.”

That is the reason I posted to so many to listen to him tell where he exactly stands on every issue, including those trade bills.

There are many here who are so taken with themselves as being smarter than Cruz, they aren’t going to listen to him. These particular Freepers are a lost cause. They just enjoying writing caustic comments about every candidate. They seldom give facts - don’t bother them with the truth or what the candidate actually said.

No, I’m just pointing out that just because Ted Cruz has a convincing argument for selling the country to the Obamabots, does not mean he is right.

He is selling out the country by giving Obama this unfettered trade power. He is doing the Nancy Pelosi song and dance about you have to pass the bill before you can find out what is in it.

As the days go by I am losing my interest in Ted Cruz as a viable conservative candidate. I’m beginning to think he is a Goldman Sacks plant.

He needs to convince me he is not.

I’ve read a lot of good talk from Cruz and talk is cheap as his supporting both TPA and TPP prove. So, where is this record ?

“I really believe he is wrong.”

You haven’t clicked on his speech to know what he thinks of those bills or anything else.

You could at least hear what Cruz says about those trade bills. He speaks to those at about the 50 min. mark in that speech.

Been there, done that, so the bottom line is he has no record you can find other than going with the flow and a lot of cheap talk.

That figures for a Senator who hasn't even served a single full term yet but has a lot of money behind his campaign for President.

No he’s not and people are just getting ahead of themselves since Cruz has not taken a stance yet on TPP...he only supported TPA...and so do I.
