The Pope should stick to theology, not politics - and “climate change” is pure politics with nothing to do with science.
I’m very skeptical about this pope. I’m not sure the college of cardinals made the right decision.
And it has even less to do with morality — than it does with science.
Maybe he should clean up the priesthood first.
The cliché that religious people should stay out of "politics" is sloppy, intellectually lazy, and dangerous. In Germany, those who didn't want religious leaders denouncing persecution of the Jews, or the eugenics program, complained that they were "meddling in politics."
There's absolutely no problem with Popes and bishops getting involved in "politics," provided they denounce crimes and evil, rather than promoting them.
I would have no problem if the Pope got involved in the Global Warming Hoax issue. If he DENOUNCED it as a massive swindle and totalitarian power grab.
That wouldn't be "politics." It would be MORAL TEACHING.
“Global warming” is just the latest in a long line of hysterical crusades to which we seem to be increasingly susceptible. Thomas Sowell
The hoax of the global warming will end as discredited as was the Malthusian predictions and the devastating global cooling fad forecasted during the 1970s of imminent cooling of the Earth’s surface and atmosphere culminating in a period of extensive glaciation and world starvation.
Weather changes are permanent features since the very beginning of this planet. The sun, and in first instance God, are the responsible of those changes, is presumptuous for man, even if is a Pope, to think that he is God and can control the nature. The pimps of this cult, as Gore and unscrupulous scientists, are becoming multimillionaires exploiting, with complicity of the media, the naiveté and ignorance of the people.
Is alarming the parallelism between president Obama and Pope Francis, one is destroying U.S.; the other, the Church.
