Imagine his lawyer defending him: “My client identifies as a woman, and ‘she’ was doing nothing wrong when this other woman (who’s obviously a bigot) overreacted. I demand that the Court dismiss these charges. My client will be filing a lawsuit for discrimination.”
Seriously, I’ll be surprised if that’s not what his lawyer argues.
I also would expect that to be the defense.
Next will be warning notices on bathrooms.
The warning will be directed to cis-gendered persons, and will warn them that trans-gendered persons may be checking them out for sexual contact, that this is normal, and any attempt to resist or evade such advances may be prosecuted as a hate crime.
