Try applying this to other groups and see how it flies. For example: kleptomaniacs, arsonists, racists, child abusers, serial killers, violent criminals, addicts, ....
Instead of slamming them on their face by such comparisons (which would be rejected as “straw man argument” anyhow), more mileage might be had by pointing out that this thing that they are talking about being born with and growing up with, represents an obvious act of hate, and we can see it making them miserable because it represents a duct of hatred into their hearts, and that God can not only explain why it has happened but has a gracious salvational help for it and all other sin too.
I.e. Gospel 101
