As his last public act before officially announcing his presidential candidacy next week, former Florida governor Jeb Bush embarked on a five-day swing through Central and Eastern Europe, meeting with leaders in three countries where Russian President Vladimir Putin's aggression has been at the top of security concerns.
He is leaving behind turmoil in his campaign operation in Florida, which in a surprise move tapped a new campaign manager on Monday. GOP operative Danny Diaz will assume the role, rather than David Kochel, an Iowa veteran, who had been expected to hold that job but will be named chief strategist instead.
The shuffle was seen as evidence that the run-up to the campaign's formal launch has not lived up to expectations that it would put the former Florida governor in a commanding position over a large Republican field.

Hey Jeb,you’re not going to find any voters while stoogeing around over there.
Reality is going to hit him sooner or later, and it’s going to be like a hammer right between the eyes.
It must have been time for Columba to go on another one of her European shopping sprees.
This guy has no business messing around in Eastern Europe. Not that he could do any worse than that jerk Kerry, but still. Things are bad enough in Putinville without stirring them up more for the sake of a failed presidential campaign.
Customs will have to do a body cavity search to find all the hidden goodies.
My bet is he is going to Bilderberg. Probably promising full submission if he gets their support.
Memo to Jeb: your problem isn’t your initial pick for campaign manager...your problem is the WEAK CANDIDATE that no one is interested in.
He’ll be sitting next to Hitlery’s people.
Yeah, and one of the scariest things I saw on the Bilderberg meetup agenda was Artificial Intelligence.
Why would they meet about it unless it was realized? And if it is realized, how effing screwed are we?
Walking away from messes is a Bush specialty.
Maybe he can buy a clue while he is there.
And we thought McCain was clueless
Good. He is far more suited to rule the Euroweenies than Americans.
I am more concerned about the wish to eliminate currency.
When Every transaction you ever make is recorded and tracked and possibly controlled we are truly done as a Free Nation.
Imagine the IRS having access and control of your transactions in real time.
Yeah. I agree. Guarantee he’s going to Bilderburg, which is scheduled for June 11-15.
This tells me he’s going there to pitch making sure he becomes the next President.
Clinton went in 1991 and suddenly became president.
Tony Blair went there. These guys are the kingmakers.
Jeb Bush WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT, and he will be just as liberal and globalist as Obama.
It tells me that voting no longer matters, and that explains Obama’s surprise when he was re-elected in 2012.
No he won't. No matter who backs him, the dogs won't eat it. The Clintons are long time Bilderburgers, and yet somehow she couldn't close the deal eight years ago. Of course if it is Jeb v. Hillary it's win-win for them anyway.
We already host 25% of the population of Mexico. Why not get Spain to take a few million of them?
Why not wait until he's had a chance to win and disgrace the office?

I am pretty sure that would conflict with his cheap labor plans.
Maybe Jeb can get some votes in Europe. He probably seems conservative over there. LOL!
Because getting into the US is just too easy.
Spain does take in immigrants from the rest of Latin America -- or at least they did, before Spain's economy tanked.
