President Obamas frustration that the federal courts could unwind much of his legacy burst into public display on Monday.
In some of his toughest and bluntest comments to date, Obama said the Supreme Court should not even have accepted a case challenging his signature healthcare law.
This should be an easy case; frankly it shouldn't have even been taken up, Obama said during a news conference in Germany at the Group of Seven (G-7) summit of leading industrial democracies.
The King vs. Burwell decision, expected later this month, could deliver a lethal blow to ObamaCare by ruling that federal subsidies, granted to nearly 6.4 million people to purchase insurance, are illegal.
Its just one of several legal challenges to his agenda that have clearly got under the presidents skin. Obama also expressed frustration with lower courts for blocking executive actions intended to allow millions of immigrants to apply for deportation relief.
And the high court is expected to rule this month on a challenge to the Environmental Protection Agencys first limits on mercury and other toxic emissions from power plants, one of Obamas most aggressive moves to address climate change.
Its hugely frustrating for the president, said Julian Zelizer, professor of public affairs at Princeton University.

Wow. No ego or delusion of grandeur there......
ESAD, Obama.
I say, “Physician, heal thyself.”
Ostensibly, he’s a constitutional law professor. He skip the class on separation of powers, 10th amendment, etc?
Obama is not a fan of water, except for splashing (no more than ankle deep) or long walks with a "friend" along the shore.
Oh, yes. Much better to make him God-Emperor Bararckula, and give him unlimited, unquestioned, unanswerable power over all things great and small.
Why does the whiner-in-chief care about the SCOTUS ruling? Worst case, he knows he can easily bully the GOP-e Congress into passing a fix. They’ve been working on a draft bill for weeks already. I believe Sen. Ron Johnson — erstwhile Tea Party darling from WI — is the author.

Wow, overtly clear that the Fuhrer is now telling the 3rd branch they are irrelevant. He already did that with Congress by signing EOs.
That’s way too accurate to be funny!
