Danny Diaz of FP1 Strategies, a Republican political consulting firm, will be former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushs campaign manager if Bush, as expected, announces hes running for president.
Its a big move by Bushs team, and a clear sign hes making efforts to win back conservative voters and make inroads party-wide rather than just winning the establishment side of the primaries. Diaz has a long-standing positive reputation with tons of top conservatives, and has been plugged in with not just establishment Republicans but conservatives Washington-wide for years.
Danny Diaz, a 39-year-old Washington, D.C., native who has worked for the past three Republican presidential nominees, will serve as campaign manager of Jeb Bushs anticipated presidential campaign, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. The job of running day-to-day campaign operations had been expected to go to David Kochel, who will instead serve as chief strategist in early-nominating states, including Iowa, and across the country. Mr. Kochel ran 2012 nominee Mitt Romneys campaign in Iowa and was recruited by Mr. Bush in January when Mr. Romney was considering getting into the race.
Back in January, when Kochel joined Bushs team, the New York Times wrote that he was is in line to serve as Mr. Bushs national campaign manager.

I won’t get fooled again.
I could care less about Danny Diaz. Who is he again?
Yep, the same thing Dole did before him, and McCain, and Romney.
Held my nose before, but not buyin’ it ever again. The establishment RINO surrounds himself with “Conservatives” to buy some street cred.
Nope.
Well, it’s an improvement, but not enough.

“Jeb Bush, 2016s Gay-Friendly Republican”
“Quietly, Jeb has filled his campaign-in-waiting with some of the most open proponents of gay rights in the Republican Party. And donors think he sees the issues the same way they do pro-LGBT.”
“I could care less about Danny Diaz. Who is he again?”
Nobody knows. And nobody cares. Only people inside the beltway are impressed by these types. He’s nothing but a paid mercenary. And whether his candidate wins or loses, he still gets paid.
Would a real conservative accept a job with Jeb Bush to essentially lie to voters (about Jebbie’s conservative bona fides)? I think not.
Who? Never heard of him!
What?
I guess Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace were unavailable.
Ain’t gonna work this time Jethro.
Since when were members of McCain’s or Romney’s teams even vaguely conservative?
Conservatives will be excited about some Spanish dude from D.C.?
In a different universe...
Jeb Bush is a Globalist that will stab conservatives in the back.
Please DO NOT TRUST Jeb Bush.
Nicolle Wallace is on “The View.”
And she supports Jebbie. She can have him.
“Top Conservative”??
Stab conservatives in the back? He has actually been pretty clear that he thinks conservatism needs to be changed to suit the left.
Never heard of him, but any conservative credentials he may have had have just been wiped away.
A self-described “conservative” who sacrifices his principles to run a RINO campaign is not a conservative ... period.
Hey, Jeb, have you heard the quote about liptick on a pig?
