I refused to join.
I was a member for a year and never renewed.
I’m still getting AARP solicitations three or four times a month. Lately, I’ve cut up the letter and little plastic ID card and returned it to them via their postage paid envelopes.
Join AMAC instead!
AMAC is the conservative alternative!

I guess the big “Screw You Traitor” I’ve written on their applications and sent back, have failed to topple their company as I had initially planned.
Darn.
They’re like the Scientologists, lol. When I was about 22, a friend and I walked into the Hollywood center out of curiosity. They grabbed on to us so tightly it took me three years and two moves to stop getting mail and calls from them. I don’t know why the AARP hasn’t chased me down but I haven’t received anything from them and though I hate to admit it, I am *at least* 50 :-). My luck, now they’ll track me down...
“I think AARP stopped using postage paid return envelopes.”
Probably too many people taping them to bricks and then mailing them back.
AARP sold seniors down the river when they got on board with the ACA. I can’t imagine why any senior would trust them now.
lol!
me 2.there is a conservative version out there can recall the name ....some one here will post it,I hope!
this may be it....there a a few not sure of the best?
See comment #9.
My actions got me off their mailing list...(and probably on an even less desirable, secret list).
Great phrase... love it!!
LOL!
LMAO.
I refused to join too, and talked some friends out of the trap as well.
“I was a member for a year and never renewed.”
As was I. But that was years ago, and I still get mailings from them every week. They keep sending me cards, with the request to pay and become active again. They’re like Beltone! They never give up!
