If I had been one of those kids, I'd have come to their aid as well and had a gun pulled on me. VERY OBVIOUSLY this was a group of average kids, blacks and whites friends with each other, and very obviously the MORON COP that people who should know better are defending here, is confirming for teens that cops are worthy of their contempt.
The good news is, that this video indicates that out of three cops, two of them were smart and good, and only ONE was a foul-mouthed (he used the F word, the GD word, etc. etc. etc. while "instructing" these kids) jerk who should NEVER have a job in law enforcement.

When I was a teen and the cops showed up you straigtened up like immediately. These teens have no respect for authority and they are not small and not afraid of the cops. Its a different world.
Who defended the cop?
I stated that if it looked like a crowd was coming to interfere with an arrest or something, a cop would be dumb not to be prepared to defend himself.
Maybe the reporter should have made the circumstances clearer.
Well I watched the video and.......you are absolutely right. Cop beating up what looked like a 14 year old girl. When he pulled his gun the other two cops had to come and restrain him.
...where even this cops fellow officers, who in the video look like decent cops trying to do their job RIGHT, are clearly disgusted with this MORON cop's ludicrous over-reaction.

Not only have I watched the video ... which doesn’t show what was happening before the video started ... I’ve also read accounts of people that DO live there and witnessed first hand. These kids jumped the fence to crash a pool party. They’ve been doing it around the DFW area. Some were having sex in the pool. Fights were also going on. They were asked to leave and refused. Then they wouldn’t follow orders of cops trying to get things under control.
I stand by my comment. There are and always will be POS cops that are more cop than perp. I have known both great and criminal cops. That does not change the fact that they are cops and as a society, we agree to abide by their collective authority.
If we choose to NOT do that, we take our chances in two ways. One, by being shot to death in the spot and two, by becoming Baltimorians ourselves.
That said, I’m the last guy that is going to lick a jackboot. But the time to get pissy with a cop isn’t when he’s in the middle of a possible arrest, whether you feel he’s in the wrong, violating constitutional rights or not. Unless you wanna go all the way with it. Personally my life is worth more than looking like a big man at a pool party that the article states was less than above board to begin with.
Officer Jackboot can and should be humiliated, fired, jailed, shunned and fined through the teeth later. But we can’t very well huff and puff about ferals and the breakdown of law when we ourselves support those causing the problem in the first place.
I agree with you. It does seem like a lot of people here didn’t actually watch the video. I think it’s horrible that so many people here are defending the cop.
