When I was a teen and the cops showed up you straigtened up like immediately. These teens have no respect for authority and they are not small and not afraid of the cops. Its a different world.

It is probably why his fellow officers basically removed him from the fracas with the girl, where he felt compelled to pull the gun-- because they also realized that this cop's behavior is part of WHY teens have no respect for cops. That cop is deserving ONLY of contempt, and if YOU think it's smart to put him in a position of authority, then you are out of touch.
I respected the cops in my towns that were GOOD cops, and I know well that they helped steer misguided kids in the right direction. We respected them because they earned that respect. We also had contempt for the small number of officers in our small towns who were like that clown in the video. They EARNED our contempt.
You expect kids to respect the badge. The kids are smarter than you, dear. NO ONE is entitled to respect just because he has a badge, and especially when he behaves in a way that is WORSE than most of the teenagers on the scene.

I had a few parties at a house I rented with some friends back in the early 70s. The neighbor across the street had no use tor us and called the cops all the time. We obeyed all the noise codes and did not play our music past the 11PM town limit. But be it 7, 8, ot any time the cops would be there and usually criticized the neighbor as no one was getting murdered or shot nor was there destruction. I think the cops sited the neighbor a few times for false police calls.
I was always cool and invited the neighbors when he came to complain.....but this one guy was so hate filled he looked like he was ready to burst a blood vessel he was so angry
I dont know what set him off.
Blame it on the Rolling Stones I suppose
