So true. Let us not forget that Kraut is the former speech writer for Walter Mondale. Lets get real about Kraut. He is Mr. GOP establishment. :-)
Savage isn’t wrong about everything. However, I totally detest his personal attacks on other talk-show hosts. He called Mark Levin a tin-horn lawyer one night. Say what??? And, he screams at his callers if they ask him how he is - saying - we aren’t friends. Geesh - what a turn off! He also never fails to inform us he is a “genius.” He told one caller that anyway. But, sometimes, he has good shows. Most of the time, I can’t tolerate his over-extended ego.
He is just not a complete Conservative - he is economically somewhat conservative, but socially he is at least moderate (bordering on liberal). In other words, he is a very intelligent neo-conservative.
Doesn't make him stupid, just wrong on several issues.
The other half of his show is pimping his latest novel, up to and including reading prolonged excerpts. I so wish my local station would replace him with somebody interesting. I would like an afternoon drive time alternative to music.
i think Savage is a phony. he’s a liberal who plays a caricature of what liberals thinks conservatives are in order to make money off conservatives and also, to subtly give liberals something to mock (i.e. a updated version of Norman Lear’s Archie Bunker). his real life political contributions and behaviors as a young man do not match up with who he portrays himself to be now. i also can’t think of any legit conservative in talk radio who would criticize Limbaugh for what Rush has done to make conservative talk radio widely available.

He gives Levin a hard time for working under Ed Meese. Levin is actually quite proud of this part of his resume.
Honestly, I don't listen to Savage with any frequency, but I do generally catch at least part of Hannity's show every day, and rarely does a show go by that Hannity doesn't bring up his working class background, his martial arts training, and his concealed carry permit and training. IMHO, if Hannity is going to incessantly remind his audience about his dishwashing and construction jobs, it's not Savage that's making an issue of it.
While I will admit that I enjoy Savage’s rants, especially when he is spot on about Obama - I totally detest his calling other talk-show hosts names. I think he is jealous of them because he isn’t included in their inner circle. That doesn’t mean all talk-show hosts are buddies. He openly endorsed Michael Trump the other night on his show. Anyone who will go on Savage’s show - has his support - since so few want to be affiliated with his venomous rants against them. He was all for Romney, until Romney refused to come on his show - then he turned on him with vicious attacks. Not that Romney didn’t deserve some of them, but, he was all in until that happened., Does he have a drinking problem? He openly admits he likes liquor, and Levin makes remarks about his drinking at times.
