Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar built their custom home with a number of measures that physically separate their sons - including molester Josh - from their daughters, Daily Mail Online can reveal.
The couple, who have 19 children, moved into the sprawling 7,000-square-foot house they designed and helped to build in January 2006 - four years after their eldest son confessed to his sordid actions.
Strikingly, they built their daughters' shared bedroom at the opposite end of their home's second floor to their sons' room - with their master bedroom situated right in front of the girls' one, 'blocking' it.
It means that their sons - including Josh, before he moved out - have to walk past their parents' bedroom if they wish to access their sisters' room. They also have to walk past Michelle's office.
And the girls' and boys' rooms are not only located at polar ends of the second floor - they are also separated by a catwalk that stretches across the family's double-height living room and kitchen.

I know nothing of this show or most other reality shows. It appears though, they did turn the kid in voluntarily when made aware of his transgressions. They profess to be Christians and are probably targeted just like the Duck Dynasty family by the left.
Christians don’t adjust their behavior to fit in with the unbelieving culture around them. That’s what liberals do.

I thought people protecting child molesters were hated but if they claim to be Christians thats ok? Never thought I would see freepers defending such people.

And they didn’t turn him over to the police. They asked a cop friend (who just happened to be into child porno) to give Josh a good talking to.
tell me what lies on television they told, what there son josh did was despicable but all the family did on the show was not refer to it. and when it finally came out they went to the police and admitted to what had happened years ago.... believe it or not incest is a lot more common then people think it is and the family handled it a lot better then most. did they handle it correctly probably not. would I ever trust there son josh with a kid ? no. the problem that most people are having is that after living there life open to the public people are finally seeing that all is not perfect and they are mad because they are finding out that like all Christians and non Christians they are sinners.
People who defend and protect pedophiles are enablers. A repeat child molester is a sick perv and needs to be in prison. What difference does it make what religion he is?
Bumping into a girl your age in the school hallway to feel a boob is not the same as putting your hands up children’s underwear.
In the little of the interview that I watched, I sensed they were genuine Christians.
It`s not like they support abortion or gay marriage, if they did I would not have defended them.
So if Woody Allen or Roman Polanski were Christian, their behavior would be ok?? I don’t get it. There is a rabbi in the news for having inappropriate saunas with teen boys. I don’t feel he should be given a legal break because he is a Jew like me. Why do Christians feel that each other should not be held responsible for their crimes?

They didn’t turn their kid in to the police. Nor to a psychologist with reporting duties. They sent him to build homes with their friend in the same cult, and this rehab guy has been himself accused of many sexual improprieties. Then they called and spoke with another friend who was a sheriff or something, who is currently serving time for child porn possession.
Christians need to think about how easily they can be led astray by people they assume are as good and Gd fearing as they are. There are a LOT of frauds dressed in Christian cloaks.

I imagine when the Duggars decided to build a home and sat down with architects, planning one large room for the boys and one for the girls, made a lot of sense. Else the home would have had multiple stories, or resemble a castle or something - - -

As for no Hide and Seek - uh oh - we’re in trouble - when our family gathers for the holidays, our 7 grandkids located here, (others in CO) ALways played hide and seek - upstairs and down. For YEARS. In one of our daughter’s home. Any complaints would come from one sibling reporting another about ‘unfair’ hiding - - - + + do I hear a knock at my door - ?
I don’t see the significance of this. Even if they did so what? Its pretty typical in large families to segregate boys and girls and not mainly because of cases of inappropriate behavior because there wasn’t any “molestation” in any real sense that occurred. There was some inappropriate touching by underage kids but that isn’t entirely uncommon. The Duggars clearly took actions to deal with it and I don’t think the family should have to face the microscope now that it is long behind them. Josh now has a family of his own and appears to be a good Dad. Many of those trying to crucify him had absolutely no problem with an 19 year old cheerleader having a lesbian relationship with a 14 year old. Also with a little googling we can find all kinds of sorlid behavior of young hollywood types and political kids. The guy appears very repentant and has bore the cost of his mistake several times over now and I think its well past time to stop piling on this family. Lets be thankful the behavior was caught when it was and dealt with. His parents could’ve went the liberal way and affirmed his touching as natural and good and something that he shouldn’t be ashamed of ya know cause he was ‘born that way’.
