Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) is set to announce his presidential candidacy on Thursday afternoon in Addison, Texas.
Good idea and I shall do that! In brief Reagan Conservative! And thank you!
Ronald Reagan is THE BEST Command In Chief that I ever had the pleasure of serving under.
Herbert Walker Bush backed Kay Hutchison for governor in the 2010 primary over Perry.
I still don’t see how that relates to my post, but yeah, he should come out and attack Hillary. I never said that he shouldn’t.
If you say so.
My husband told me today Perry was his candidate... I was a little bit shocked because after the debates last go âround my husband didn’t like him at all. I think his liking him started after reading all Marcus Lattrell has said he did for him. My husband was at work today and said at least 50% of the people he works with like Perry. The others are undecided, leaning Cruz and a few others. What’s really bad is he works at a forced Union job and has to pay his dues, they all do, directly to a union that supports the democrats. And truth be told we will not be withholding our vote from whoever the Republican is. Been there, done that lived to regret it at the state level.
Cruz to VICTORY
Well at least one veteran is in the race.
You got a dog catcher as POTUS, yet you condemn a viable GOP candidate? We all have different wishes, but wish one is to win with the most conservative candidate we can.
Why do the work of the Dems for them?
“Lesser evil” is doing the work of the Democrats for them.
Now we got Bonehead and McConnell giving Obama as much power as he wants.
We’re winning. We run a majority of the states. The Democrat-governance model is failing. Democratcare is failing. Do you really think we’re going to get perfection in politics?
Think about it. These guys are all politicians. They are all beholden to someone. They all have to compromise and guess what. It’s the American way. We’re a republic and thank God for that.
This republic is just about over. The compromisers can go to hell AFAIC. I don’t see the left compromising. The GOP is moving this country left too by compromising.
I’m about ready to just give up on a political solution
At least wait until Nov. 8 2016.
I agree, Cruz is probably one of my first church Perry would probably be my 2nd choice.
Perry may not be perfect but he did a fair job. I don’t know what he thinks about Gram but gram will torpedo him just like Gram torpedo every Conservative. Graham is not a republican hes a democrat that runs in the republican primary relying upon cross over democrat votes.
You watch an election here in South Carolinian and you will see Graham put all his signs in democrat areas. Signs that come down just as soon as the primary is over. Perry may be a former democrat(so was Reagan) but he doesn’t need to do that.
“...no one has said send all 12 million back to where they came from.”
Oh, don’t we wish it were ONLY twelve million.
Public pronouncements by both sides don’t contradict the fact they don’t get along. Bush the Elder and his henchmen (James Baker et al.) have always looked down their noses at Perry. It’s a snob thing...and needless to say, he doesn’t appreciate it.
Of course neither side is going to make public statements indicating they dislike each other.
In what resembled a presidential campaign speech, Texas Gov. Rick Perry called for increased federal controls against illegal immigration and stronger military action in Iraq.
Before Congress considers comprehensive immigration reform, how about we start with comprehensive border enforcement, Perry said Thursday amid two dozen cameras at the headquarters of the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank in Washington, D.C.
Defending the border is not a political option. It is a constitutional obligation. Until the federal government meets that duty and secures that border, all talk of immigration reform is pointless because Washington has no credibility on the matter.
Palin/Perry is my choice or the other way around..
I agree with Mr Perry when he says a governor would be a very good choice for president..With him and Sarah both former governors would be a perfect choice..They both ran the biggest states in the country and did a damn good job of it..
Perry and Palin have very little in common as far as I am concerned.
