That word SUPPORTIVE leapt off the page. This is one of those liberal poisoned words that has taken many people in our society off the right track. How many children have been harmed by well meaning parents who thought they were being good loving parents by being “supportive”. This word first became popular in the mass media since about the seventies or eighties.
We rarely heard the word supportive before then but suddenly it was all over television and ordinary people started repeating this term in conversation. It is not the only word that has been made into a household usage, usually they represent liberal outlooks.
