Wolf wants to raise the income tax from 3 percent to 3.7 percent and the sales tax from 6 percent to 6.6 percent. He would expand the sales tax base to include a host of items such as diapers, newspapers, funeral services, legal work, textbooks, college room and board, and nonprescription drugs, Adolph said.

how does this help the middle class as***le? real estate taxes are local how is going to lower those? what a dufus.

Wolf’s plan would have reduced school property taxes in Harrisburg to ZERO, with reductions in the rest of the state ranging from 55% down to no reduction, depending on the county and school district...

While Harrisburg folks may be upset today, I rejoice that 100% of the house said no to such a blatant giveaway to his favored cities.

He is a moron. If you expand the sales tax base to include more items then you LOWER the overall rate.

Dems are addicted to OPM.
