ISIS bans pigeon breeding since it's 'offensive to Islam'

ISIS clerics have banned pigeon breeding, which they say is an affront to Islam.

According to the Daily Mail, the jihadist organization that has taken over parts of Iraq and Syria believes that “the sight of birds’ genitals as they fly overhead is offensive to Islam.”

Anyone caught violating the new edict is in danger of being subjected to public flogging.

They just don’t want people to have fun or be happy. This reminds me of the Taliban banning little kids from kite-flying.

Especially sad, because the Middle East is one of the places where pigeon racing has always been hugely popular. Falconry, as well; I wonder how they feel about that?

I recall, maybe two years ago, that some islamaist group was saying that women were an affront to islam and should all be killed. So this is just as weird.
