I am also furious over coach Pete Carroline's play calling of throwing the ball on 1 yard line, and bypassing the beast (Marshon Lynch) who was running through Patriot defense all day long like hot knife through butter. It was the all time stupid play calling I have witnessed since Superbowl I. What is even worse is that Carrol refused to accept blame for his asinine call.
“Ted Cruz lost some credibility with me with this pronouncement.”
If you didn’t understand the joke, then you’re too stupid to vote.
He just lost the Steeler fan vote.
How do you figure that Joe Theismann could NOT accurately pick the deflated balls, plus that some quarterbacks want the ball MORE inflated?
“Ted Cruz lost some credibility with me with this pronouncement. Either he does not know football or he is pandering blatantly. “
Obviously the man has a sense of humor.
Ball pressure isn’t that big a deal. ISIS is creating a new tyranny, the government is abusing its power, the economic stats are lies, people are out of work, we have aliens flooding over the border, and the nation’s moral strength is in the bathhouse.
Football, Ted...really?
Are there actually some who don’t realize this was a complete joke by Cruz, told before a Massachusetts audience?
Ted Cruz will be fine, it was his attempt of dry humor, nothing more, nothing less.
It’s called being tested or baptised by fire.
The media storm fury will fade away in a few days.
” It is statistically in “impossible” range. Ted Cruz lost some credibility with me with this pronouncement. Either he does not know football or he is pandering blatantly.”
Or he’s joking around.
It’s a joke, son. And some of the replies are really funny.
My opinion is Brady can play great with legally inflated balls. He proved that. I think what he can’t do is play with balls that are overinflated, and my guess is he told the equipment people to make sure they weren’t overinflated.
It’s clear from the report, that the NFL has no standardized method for measuring the balls, and is rather sloppy with the process.
Anyone who makes voting decisions on the basis of a candidate’s sports team preference (or other trivialities) is the very definition of “low information voter”.
“Let me start by saying: Tom Brady was framed,” Cruz declared. “Now I’m not willing to pander on much, but on that, Tom Brady was framed!”
Cruz then delivered the punchline:
“And I will say this: I have it on good authority that Hillary Clinton did it. Why do you think she deleted her emails?” he asked
Relax folks it was said tongue in cheek. A joke!
“Ted Cruz lost some credibility with me with this pronouncement. Either he does not know football or he is pandering blatantly.”
I don’t believe it’s pandering if you announce your pandering, more like tongue in cheek humor.
“A deflated ball is softer, making it much easier to catch and hang on to without a fumble.”
I don’t know that is true. Do we have anything to back that idea up?
I hope you get your sense of humor back soon. In this day and age, it's really important to have one. Cruz was joking.
