It appears the public defenders office in McLennan County is involved in this scurrilous activity, said Paul Looney, a Houston attorney with Looney & Conrad, P.C. Ive never seen anything like the lawlessness that the authorities have perpetrated on these people and now to add insult to injury they are trying to cover their own tracks in exchange for bond.

Undercover is never vigilant enough and thats always the risk, and now he is in trouble.
9 dead with head shots in the parking lot is not the approved way to extricate a compromised officer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exactly what was this undercover officers mission that would facilitate ATF and SWAT involved with the surveillance?
Sgt. Swanton (commendation for Mount Carmel “clean up”), who can’t keep his story straight, told of the “surreal” haunting creepiness of the restaurant when he went inside. Cue the eerie dramatic music... that there was blood and half eaten meals. The snipers were aiming toward the front door and the front patio area so there will likely be evidence inside.
It may also cause parents to reconsider sending their little angels to Baylor Univ. Expect to see more and larger scholarships being waved at HS seniors. Baylor campus cops were called as stand bys that day but weren’t called to the scene.
You forgot to add this: They should have killed all of them and all of this legal nonsense would be moot.
This is SOP because judge are protecting themselves from actually doing their job.
The fact remains that bonds are getting reduced and people are getting released from jail in this case without resorting to the type of grandstanding the aptly named attorney in this story resorts to."Half the truth is often a great lie" - Benjamin Franklin
Until we know why they got their bond reduced and were released that "fact" is only half the story.
Meanwhile three of those arrested have already been given reduced bonds and released without any histrionics from their attorney....go figure.Are you talking about the three who were arrested in a different part of town and nowhere near Twin Peaks? If so, a judge gave them lower bonds which they were able to post. Funny thing is they had to turn themselves back in the next day because the PD went bonkers and demanded the judge increase their bond to $1M.
That is a plausible scenario. I have about 800 billable hours experience in precisely this sort of civil litigation. Hopefully this did not happen.
Has it been set as legal or illegal to demand a “don’t sue us” notice for bond?
Id hate to be the impound lot attendant when over a hundred disgruntled bikers come to claim their bikes, and they are informed of the impound fee. I'd expect tensions to rise when the bikers discover key expensive scooter components have gone missing while under the watchful eye of Waco Police Impound Officers.
