“I’ll let you go if you don’t sue over wrongful arrest” sure as he11 sounds like a flat-out admission that it WAS wrongful arrest, and he’s abusing “color of law” to con arrestees into not exercising their rights (to their considerable profit).

My first thought on it that day was an under cover cop was sent in restroom or ran over someone’s foot in the parking lot for the sole purpose of starting a ruckus since SWAT and ATF was already on the scene targeting the door. Of course, him pulling out his badge would start something so either way. Bottom line they were set up.

Holy Cow! This judge has telegraphed that these massive, illegal dragnet arrests (along with the resulting destruction of careers of folks who had done absolutely NOTHING wrong) were completely unlawful. And these illegal arrests and unconstitutional bails went along with the attempts to cover up the unprovoked HOMICIDES committed by local Waco law enforcement under direction of Obama’s federal agencies (e.g., DOJ, ATF, FBI).
Elements of government have become an ongoing criminal enterprise. They must not be allowed to get away with it.
Your theory sounds plausible, and it makes the police shooting more understandable.
There is nothing illegal about wearing “false” colors. So in effect, you have a bunch of outlaws threatening a police officer with deadly force.
Lots of shootings by police start that way.
The intimidation by the bikers over their colors is not much different than the intimidation by Muslims over cartoons being drawn of Mohammed.
It may have been bad tactics, but threatening anyone with a weapon is an invitation to get shot.
So the judge’s ruling pretty much says the bikers would have been justified in shooting back. (?)
Me wonders if the LEOs got bored and got all RAMBOED-UP and thought they had an easy target to make some political points with and they didn't realize most of those bikers were just ordinary guys and not drug kingpins...?
This +1. I wouldn’t sign anything and sit I jail if I had to. Then I can assure you my lawyer would be using the judges offer against any case Waco may bring against me. The prosecutor must have pushed this judge to make the offer because obviously this is about to blow up in their faces.

I don’t believe any of this was by some unforeseen event, it was planned.
Your theory sounds very plausible and does fit with what little bits and pieces are leaking out. I don't know if you could get murder charges, accessory to murder, accessory after the fact, etc. to "stick" to all the LEOs involved in this. Certainly anyone who discharged a weapon is likely to face murder charges, pending ballistic evidence...
Any LEO that participated in this fiasco and the ensuing cover-up ought to immediately lose their job, retirement, everything. They can never again be trusted with a badge and a firearm. We need to send a strong message to all LEOs that yes, they will be held accountable. This is not just for the public's benefit, it will help un-tarnish LEO's image. That image has been suffering under the weight of too many highly public, highly militarized incidents. It has also suffered from a few over-publicized incidents where law enforcement was beat up by race-baiters.
Just a coincidence that the TX Legislature was voting on open carry.

That sounds very much like a military style weapons with optics and well trained shooters.
Eight of the nine killed were from the very gang rumored to have been unwilling to pay some kind of drug trafficking territory fee.
Is Waco PD a de facto extension of a drug trafficking organization..?
This makes the case appear even stronger that this incident was an abuse of authority.

Bad bad move on the part of this judge. Any lawyer worth his salt will shove any agreement like this straight up his ass in a civil suit.
