I might raise my eyebrows if a 70-something who had undergone two hip replacement surgeries told me he wanted to continue to engage in vigorous, competitive athletics. Since Harvard has the best and brightest people around, so I have little doubt that Kerry's doctor must have told him that it was a good idea.

I find it interesting that the things the elites approve of get a pass
like running, strenuous exercise, repetitive exercise, climbing, and homosexuality.
All these things raise healthcare costs.
