In many presidential elections, conservatives have been frustrated that they get stuck with establishment Republicans such as John McCain or Mitt Romney, their votes often lost among a plethora of candidates. A group of New Hampshire conservatives has a plan to consolidate behind a constitutional conservative in advance of the pivotal first-in-the-nation New Hampshire Primary, coming up in February.
The group, the 603 Alliance, sees itself as a potential model for conservatives in other states that are sick of having establishment RINOs foisted upon them election after election. At a recent meeting in Littleton, New Hampshire, organizers of the 603 Alliance presented their plans to interested conservatives who share their frustration.
Before getting down to business, they psyched themselves up for the task at hand by watching clips of Ronald Reagans inaugural addresses. Especially inspiring were two famous linesgovernment is not the solution, it is the problem, and it is not the job of the government to make good people, but the job of the people to make a good government.

As long as we allow Iowa and New Hampshire to pick our winners RINOs it will be.
So instead of the GOPe picking out candidate, we let self-appointed conservative activists pick our candidate?
Here’s a thought. Close the damn primaries to prevent inDUHpendents and Demonrats from colluding with the GOPe.
“So instead of the GOPe picking out candidate, we let self-appointed conservative activists pick our candidate?”
No, it’s a strategy to not split the vote in a particular state like New Hampshire, thus denying momentum to the Establishment’s preferred candidate.
Remember in 2012, when Santorum ACTUALLY won the Iowa caucus but through shenanigans, Romney was declared the winner and gained steam into New Hampshire and then on. Romney would have been dead in the water had he not “won” Iowa and then New Hampshire. His momentum would have been thwarted.
For years, the Establishment has depended on momentum, using mainly the New Hampshire primary to promote their moderates. The plan is to deny a moderate any momentum ant then the battle turns to the South, where moderate have little support.
A caucus is an honest way to winnow down the candidates, one by one so that one remains for all to support...just to get a conservative to win New Hampshire. It’s a very good strategy. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the activists in NH are choosing the eventual nominee.
“Heres a thought. Close the damn primaries to prevent inDUHpendents and Demonrats from colluding with the GOPe.”
And you are correct on this point, by the way, but that’s not going to happen before next February. I live in MA and know how the republican party works in NH. They’ll prevent closing the primary because they love moderates.
The NH Republican Party are headed by RINOs. I hope 603 Alliance will help get Ted Cruz to victory. Maybe 603 Alliance will overthrow the state’s RINO Party and get conservatives in leadership.
No...Weirdly Republicans have open primaries where Democrats can come in and vote for the most liberal Republican candidate...
Guess that’s the intent...
This doesn’t happen as often as people thinks it does.
2 Election cycles should make this crystal clear by now:
(1) Closing the Republican Primaries to just registered Republicans will NOT solve the problem. Romney/McCain still won several Closed Primaries during the competitive phase for the nomination.
(2) It was Registered Republicans that gave Mitt Romney and John McCain their victories. New York and California are both Closed Primaries, yet the Establishment candidate is still heavily favored in those states because of liberal/moderate Republicans.
(3) There are a lot of RINOs that are also Registered Republicans
The Independent/Liberal cross-over theory has been debunked over and over again. Conservatives give these people too much credit. There are more than enough Liberal/Moderate Registered Republicans to shove the Establishment candidate down our throats.
I don’t know why people want to blame/give the libs more credit for shooting our own selves in the foot. It’s our voters in our party choosing the crappy establishment candidate. How do you stop that?
EVERYONE, READ THIS ARTICLE.
Somebody’s doing something about the republican loser trap we are in each presidential election. This needs to spread countrywide.
HaHa...Maybe it's hard for conservatives to admit that their Party is full of liberals...
