She actually paid Slick Willy’s “charity” $500,000! For what? I don’t know.
Looking at the pages upon pages of the Clinton Foundation donor list---it appears the Clintons used the Foundation as a credentialing apparatus---the Clintons caught on early that people would give big bucks to get on their list.

They know how things work in the corridors of power and around the world; they know that foreign governments are trying to influence American foreign policy; and they know that bribery is rampant around the world. Some avenues might not be as lucrative as getting a $700,000 honorarium for a speech in Nigeria, but they would be much cleaner." (p. 183)
Maybe just for the tax deduction, with most of the money eventually finding it's way into a bank account with her name on it. It's just a money laundering operation.
