In the sense that she's Mexican?

I guess, but not everybody in Mexico loved Santa Anna.

A few more men like him and Mexico probably wouldn't have survived.

ignorance on display........ there were lots of Spanish people in Texas that fought for the Republic

There were more than a few Texas Mexicans that fought for Texas against Mexico.
