Russia's army is massing troops and hundreds of pieces of weaponry including mobile rocket launchers, tanks and artillery at a makeshift base near the border with Ukraine, a Reuters reporter saw this week.
Many of the vehicles have number plates and identifying marks removed while many of the servicemen had taken insignia off their fatigues. As such, they match the appearance of some of the forces spotted in eastern Ukraine, which Kiev and its Western allies allege are covert Russian detachments.

The time to have coped with Russia's aggression in Ukraine is long past just as the time to cope with Iraq has passed. What will Obama do about China?
We already know if history is prelude.
Agreed
Poland is readying its military. They will fight like badgers if it comes to it.
South Korean news reports on chinas build up regularly. They appear convinced a war is coming.
Expect full on war, on multiple fronts, in six months. Russian expansion, Chinese expansion, ISIS & Arab Spring expansion, any other conquests you can think of. USA won’t do a damn thing to stop it because that’s what the Obama wants to happen. Six months top get it all underway, one year wrap up the winnings until a new President takes office and may do something effective to stop it.
If I remember correctly, under the Geneva Convention anyone without full military uniform, complete with identifying insignias, can be shot as a spy.

You can’t call Russia a “JV Team”.
Russia just passed the law saying that even peace time military casualties is a state secret.
They were threatening the families of those dead anyway. Now it means they can threaten them with a long prison sentence.
This really makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Our enemies have and will continue to take advantage of our weak leadership, timed to reach goals prior to the next election in 2016, if there is one. Timing is essential for maximum benefit. Too soon and we will not be as weak, and too late and a new administration might complicate those plans. Late 2015 to mid 2016 will be the window of opportunity to move against the U.S.
Expect more engineered social unrest in the U.S., possibly an economic crisis dwarfing the one in 2008 (like a monetary collapse) all while our POTUS tries to make it appear global warming our only external threat, as he cripples the U.S. Economy with carbon taxes, possibly bringing on the economic crisis.
-BRICs nations will pry the dollar out of the reserve currency status, and the petrodollar status.
-China moves on Taiwan and its expansion seaward with artificial islands will test our resolve.
-North Korea,,,well obviously,
-Russia moves in Eastern Europe. NATO could be dissolved if we don’t as an alliance defend even the smallest of our new Eastern European NATO partners. Would Obama trade New York for Lithuania? Probably not...
With any luck it will go nuclear and the entire world will be devoid of any life whatsoever. Exterminate Earth.
Full on nuclear war wouldn’t have a “winner” or would at least be very painful for the winner.
I suspect a mystery sea launched missile or five launched from the south Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, or South Pacific which will EMP the continental U.S. Ending in 90% dead over the course of a year or two (read One Seconf After).
That will be shortly after the 2016 election, again, if there is one.
“With any luck it will go nuclear and the entire world will be devoid of any life whatsoever. Exterminate Earth.”
I have had reservations about the premise that full scale nuclear war would “end all life on earth”, particularly with today’s reduced arsenals; the weapons ready to use today only number about 4000 on both sides, and many of those would not survive to be used in a coordinated attack by either side. There would definitely be survivors, and surviving nations.
Remember, the U.S. and Russia have tested over a couple thousand warheads and the world seems no worse long term.
My point is that our enemies, like Russia and China, might not share our defeatist premises regarding the un-win ability of nuclear conflict.
Aw crap. I wanted to see the complete extermination of the human race. No way should we be allowed to infest any other planets. We must be destroyed, as an inferior race.

STERILIZE
STERILIZE
STERILIZE
I’m pretty emphatic about all this happening _this_year_. Takes time to follow such a campaign thru to the end, and there’s a bunch of mopping-up to do afterwards to solidify the achievements and buttress them from newcomers undoing it all. (Remember: post-9/11 Iraq War was over in one week flat, but took years to re-fill the power vacuum (which the Obama then vacated, but that’s a different thread).)
They have to assume, just as a matter of pragmatic mitigation, the next US president will be a world-order superpower-restoring hard-liner who would have no qualms about launching full-on multi-front wars to fulfill the obligations we’ve neglected and which they’re taking advantage of, and he’d initiate those wars promptly upon inauguration. By that date, they’d better have total & pervasive control of whatever they’re going to control (Russia re-take the Eastern Bloc, China take Taiwan and otherwise expand control, and the others you note except North Korea which couldn’t survive anything), and reaching that point of stable domination will take about a year - so if anyone is going to do anything, they’d better at least START in 2015, if not have their various invasions etc completed by this December. Come January 2016 it will be too late for assured lasting victory; they could still pull off conquests starting in 2016, but face rapidly diminishing odds of retaining those wins.
...unless Hillary, Bernie, or the like win in 2016; we’ll see a full-on free-for-all (golly, sounds like the end of some old book I read somewhere...).
I recall my rather interesting high-school chemistry teacher detailing the concept of doomsday weapons. Seems a mid-sized nuke packed with cobalt would do the job quite well...
God was wrong.
I doubt it, I've served in a unit that was designated for sterile uniforms in war, no unit patches or scrolls, and no badges, but still an American military uniform.
Might be one of the Hollywood "facts" that I'm remembering from some obscure movie.
