First I heard of a Point Break remake. Didn't know one was in the works.

OK, I'll 'fess up. My buddies and I probably watched this movie a hundred times when it first came out. And I'll watch it until the end when I come across it on TV. One of my guilty pleasures.

It is entertaining. The remake will probably not be.

They better not mess with Roadhouse.

Will they shoot their guns into the air and yell “Arrgh!?”

The movie... ...featured two serious movie stars, Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.

In my opinion, the author should rethink this claim...

Yeah, it’s a fun flick, but I doubt it will work with a different cast, and a different kind of Hollywood studio system that will probably make it very formulaic to cater to the lowest common denominator.

Gary Busey, as Reeves’s cranky supervisor, seems imported from an alternate dimension.

Gary Busey ALWAYS seems imported from an alternate dimension.

I used to paste-up movie ads. Every summer there will be at least one “slam-bang rollercoaster ride of an adventure” review. Guaranteed to get the reviewer’s name in the paper.

'Surfings the source, man. Swear to God.'

Immortal dialogue.

I wonder who will reprise Anthony Kiedis part?

I am so sick and tired of Hollywood’s pointless, slap together, cast any actor, then apply liberally as much CGI as you can muster awful remakes.

Whatever Hollywood once was, it is no longer, and never will be again.

Love Point Break and Road House. I will stop and watch anytime I’m channel surfing. Got to say the same about Matrix.

“And I’ll watch it until the end when I come across it on TV. One of my guilty pleasures. “

I’m that way with Roadhouse.

Hollywood where if you run out of ideas... you take a crappy movie (Planet of the Apes) and make it a real crappy movie.

Only in Hollywood can you create crap and get rewarded for it.

Just to name drop,I got to meet Tony Curtis shortly before his death, and he said be did the movie Taras Bulba only because of the climactic scene in which Yul Brynner (his father) shoots him through his armored breastplate.

Point here being I don’t think the author appreciates that Pointe Break it’s a silly movie but the iconic scenes stick with you. Whether they make sense or not.

I like the movie and have seen it several times, but the philsophy espoused in the movie is simply self indulgence. Sex, drugs, rock n roll, surfing/skydiving and armed robbery to support it all. Nothing to admire in that, at least from a Christian perspective.

I doubt if the remake will be as good as the original.

The first movie was entertaining, but kind of retarded, which means that the remake is going to be SUCKTACULAR.

Yet, “Point Break” was transparently ridiculous.

In other words, it was brilliant.

The movie stays with you in a way that others don't.

Maybe it was the president masks.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up. They seriously need to leave it alone.

I watched it once to see why it was on TV all the time. It blew chunks. But then, I suppose there are people who liked “Sahara”.
