The right-wingers obsessively document and chastise her every move. Why are conservatives so threatened by a 29-year-old TV showrunner and author?
In honor of Memorial Day, Lena Dunham Instagrammed herself in a lacy bra and panty set, and captioned the sultry snap, I think I will wear it to dinner with some boots & a smile because we are all very lucky to be free.
Dunham clearly presents her exhibitionism as a celebration of personal and political freedoms, but certain fringe elements of the right-wing media have taken the peaceful photo as further evidence of Dunhams personal war on male retinas, Republican values, and the American dream.
The friendly folks over at Breitbart even took it upon themselves to share the photo on Facebook along with a PSA: DISCLAIMER: Breitbart News is not responsible for any emotional, spiritual, or psychological damage that might occur as a result of viewing this article. Because trigger warnings are a liberal tool used to infantilize and over-coddleunless theyre giving big, strong men ample warning that the nude woman theyre about to ogle and objectify is not a piece of eye candy constructed exclusively out of the worlds most physically arousing, dude-approved lady parts.

I think Lena Duncan is a “legend in her own mind” kind of person. I would not walk into the next room to see anything she has done.
Well, I can tell you the experience isn’t pretty. :0)
She’s a member of the MF club. Mysterious Famous. They are famous and nobody knows why. How it works I believe is these people in Hollywood or people under some rock, same thing, decide who will be famous and then come up with all kinds of excuses to make it so.
From what I can gather, she made a 10 minute movie on her cellphone and then mysteriously she was given a TV show that bombed, then another one that bombed, then she was given a major movie deal that bombed, then another TV series that was successful then she wrote a book in which she lied and said she was raped which seems to be the liberal fad nowadays because what does it matter, all men are evil rapists anyways, and then she said she molested her sister. So this evidently means she is now officially famous and we should all care about her.
Naturally, if she were conservative the lib press would be ripping her 24/7. As usual libs want it both ways.
Chances are he gets knocked out of bed at night by the caboose. :0)
Yes, she would be attractive...in a Hillary Clinton kind of way.
WTH is that? Can't they find writers with at least a GED?
Drab-Zilla herself, in the flesh.
ROTFL! She and Huffpo are on my list of thoughts numbers 19,999,087,909 and 19,999,087,910.
Isn’t it interesting that conservatives get to live rent free inside these dolts’ heads?
Geez, get over yourselves. Nobody cares.

Maybe she has a grudge against conservatives because she was once hunted by Ted Nugent! In that case, a conservative would have opened fire first, albeit with a broadhead.
Lets ask Laz. :-)
I feel sorry for her as she thinks that freedom
is a matter of “luck”. Rather like Obama’s
take on “winners of life’s lottery”.
They do not recognize the fact that those things
they take for granted were earned with sweat and blood.
People like her, have no problem with taking away
other peoples freedom yet somehow assume it can never
happen to them when their attitude guarantees it will.
The Daily Beast — how apt.
WTH is that? Can’t they find writers with at least a GED?
Tough to find liberals that know how to write above a 9th grade level these days. Libs capable of writing a cohesive sentence, such as Nicholas von Hoffman, Christopher Hitchens and Mary McGrory are long gone, and no one has replaced them.
When you can’t form a complete thought, a coherent sentence
must seem like the summit of Everest.
Threatened? Only if we're both going for the last cookie. But it looks as if Dunham has mastered the art of nabbing it.
The only reaction I've had all along to her is....why?
Why does the 'entertainment' press constantly attempt to convince me, you and everyone else that Lena Dunham is a) attractive, b) smart, c) witty/funny, d) not physically repellent and e) worthy of such saturation coverage?
Full disclosure: I keep asking what I'm missing. I see a dumpy female with an absolutely tragic figure for someone under 30, pale skin that frequently shows bruising especially on the legs, no shortage of subcutaneous fat (read: cellulite), a hideous what-is-it blob of a tattoo on one shoulder, short hair occasionally dyed bright green which appears to have been hacked at by a blind man with dull scissors and, inevitably, that mouthful of crooked teeth.
If such a person were standing at a bus stop they wouldn't get a second look, with or without green hair.
But as with the equine Sarah Jessica Parker, the press won't stop beating their tin pan about Dunham as a 'sex symbol' - which rather confuses those of us accustomed to awarding a Farrah Fawcett, Kathy Ireland, Pam Anderson or Anna Nicole Smith that title.
Could it be that Dunham is a symbol not of sex as in sexiness, desire, allure, but merely of sex as in animalistic ritual copulation by members of a bored, emotionally stunted and spoiled generation who have never known what it means to date or build a relationship over time? Could it be that the terminally unsexy Dunham is used as a thumb in the eye of so-called misogynistic, heteronormative onlookers who wonder what the fuss is all about? Could it be that media cliques populated by Dunhamesque undesirable women, homosexual men and overseen by menopausal old maids might not be the best judges of what straight males might find attractive?
