Prepare to say goodbye to TLC show 19 Kids and Counting.
The family-centric reality show is being pulled from the networks TV schedule one day after Josh Duggar issued an apology following molestation allegations, Page Six has learned.
Its unclear if the network has made any permanent decisions regarding the shows future but information about the show remains on the networks site as of Friday.

When I say serious, I am talking from the victims perspective. Although what he did was wrong, and there is no question that what he did was wrong, does it appear that the daughters are dysfunctional and not getting their lives together? Do they have a genuine relationship with their brother? Were they able to get past his sin?
I used to think Jimbob and Michelle were Godly but slightly odd people. Practicing their pro life beliefs to the ultimate extent possible for them. Good for them. Michelle somewhat neglectful mother (asking your teen daughters to keep the baby overnight so you can get to work on the next one), Jimbob some what of a flake (inability to follow a schedule, known to those who know the family as ‘duggar time’)
Now I see that they were even worse than I thought.
They certainly aren’t the first parents to have such a situation present itself. Nor the first to cover it up in the same way. I guess I expected more, and certainly more support for the victims. At the very least they should have moved Josh out of the home while he received counseling. Just so the victims didn’t have to SEE him all day every day while they were receiving help as well.
I didn’t suggest he be kept away from children. You did. I simply said I agree that there is recidivism among pedophiles and that all of the armchair quarterbacks can certainly go to town on what the parents “should” have done. But again, you’re mixing the legal system with whether somebody should receive God’s grace. Holding people legally accountable for their actions is Biblical. But, let’s stop pretending this sin is worse than our own, simply because it’s more public and more sensational.
Lena Dunham has never pretended to be a conservative, "family values" Christian.
“If that is the case, according to the Bible, then the Bible is wrong. “
That is NOT the case, according to the Bible. Some sins are worse than others. Aside from the fact that different sins have different penalties in the Old Testament, the New says the some sin is mortal and some is not mortal. 1 John 5:16-17
“Satan and his demons are in glee that the Duggars are in ruin.”
It’s the Duggar’s fault, not Satan.
You, nor I, have any indications that the girls lives are normal.
It seems that Jana has been unable so far (she’s 25) to form any lasting relationships with the opposite sex. In Duggar society, 25 is akin to ‘old maid’. I have to think it’s related to what happened to her.
And being molested is sometimes a precursor to lesbian behaviors. We won’t know for sure about all the girls for several more years.
Moreover, it’s not really fair to ask a FOUR year old to forgive anyone for anything. Much less something she can’t fully comprehend.
I’m not of the opinion they need to EVER have any relationship with Josh if they don’t want to. And at this point, none of them have really been given a choice in the matter.
Read his statement on facebook and see if you can find any contrition for the victims there...
It’s common for those who call for almost impossible penalties relative to the wrong doings are covering up for their own sins.
Unless there is evidence that he has not repented and I’m sure his wife is questioning his daughter at this moment, he needs to be treated as though he has repented and regrets his past actions.
As Christians, we are called to extend the grace that has been extended to us.
Apparently, none of you have sinned and don’t need any type of forgiveness.....Is that right?
So gather up your stones......Make sure they’re solid and heavy .....Josh is tied up and ready for the first pitch.
Enjoy!
dware, all sin is “evil”. I think you will be quite surprised when you meet your maker to find that your own sin is just as greivous as that of Josh Duggar. According to God’s law, we all commit “evil”.
“Their reactions would probably have been different, if the offense was more serious.”
Like what? Murder?
I’m not the one mixing the legal system with God’s grace.
You are.
He should at the very least go on a sex offender list.
‘.’
Fondling your 4yr old sister sitting in your lap being read to isn’t ‘normal curiosity’. And it didn’t happen because the family was ‘repressed’.
The biggest question *I* have is who molested Josh, and when.
I take that as a ‘yes’, I’d LOVE for Josh to babysit my grandchildren unsupervised!
Noted.
The first stone I’ll pick up is the Millstone Jesus himself talked about in this particular situation.
Does your pooh-poohing predatory behavior & sexual assault extend to those not named Duggar?
No, like penetration or full-on sexual intercourse.
Let’s bring out the mind reading machines and apply them to everybody. If you have a sexually sinful thought or if some past action has been revealed, instant death sentence.
I’d be reckoning that most, who are calling for his death sentence would find themselves with the death penalty over their heads.
I find that those who are often calling for the strongest penalties on certain sins are often guilty of those particular sins themselves.
It’s like the man who murdered and hid her body joins the search party and cries on national tv for her return. His willingness to do so much is because he is trying to direct attention away from what he has done.
I don’t think that means what you think it means. Rejection of Christ is the only unpardonable sin. The rest are equal.
Where is Lorraine Bobbit when you need her?
I agree, but I don't recall saying it would be different? In fact, I have been saying that the sins I have committed in life are just as grievous as Duggar's. Not sure where your statement is coming from.
The same can certainly be said for those who zealously defend certain sinners and/or sins.
