I finally found out what the sheriff wanted the restaurant to do - remember he said the restaurant could have prevented this if they had cooperated with him.

Well, what he wanted was for the restaurant to put a sign outside that read like this, “No biker colors allowed in the restaurant”.

How in the world did he think that would stop the bikers from being there and starting a fight? That is a huge parking lot outside that restaurant and a sign isn't going to make them go away.

All the bars here have signs that say no colors allowed.

No colors are worn at those bars.

Nothing happens in the parking lots, either.

Oh, except for once.

A bunch of “good” people found a lone 1% having a beer after work and dragged him outside and beat the hell out of him.

If a sheriff asked that... I suppose it's not an unreasonable request. I've seen that very same notice notice on doors to biker bars, in Texas.

One little beer bar that just closed down last December, in particular...

Every now and then I would visit that place during the day, since my now deceased sister and her husband (also deceased) used to frequent the place. Friendly place during the day...

Evening-time at that joint, there could be genuine rough crowd.

Way out of my league, and some of them I was concerned may have mistaken myself for my younger brother...who's on a serious serious bad list. He messed with the wrong people, some years ago. And they still remember. If they had thought I was him (my brother) it's highly possible they may have killed me, right on the spot.
