A Common Core-approved workshop on the Middle East conflict titled Whose Jerusalem? has sparked controversy among critics who charge that the program portrays Israel and America in a negative light while cultivating sympathy for terrorist group Hamas.
The Whose Jerusalem? curriculum was created by Boston University professor Carl Hobert, who describes the goal of his program as educational civil disobedience, where students are learning about the Middle East and theyre putting pressure on our government to create a Palestinian state. It has already been used in numerous high schools and has now been approved as part of the Common Core national curriculum.
Students participating in the program are assigned to portray various parties to the Middle East conflict including Arab, Israeli and American leaders, and to negotiate an agreement on how to divide Jerusalem.
Describing how he uses the program to influence students thinking, Hobart explains, When a student goes, 'I am devoutly Jewish and Ive got family members in Israel. I would like to be a member of Likud Party.' Guess what we make that student? A member of Hamas.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
We have to get the federales out of our local school classrooms. Or else this pro- islsmonazi propaganda ( what else did anyone expect from this administration, for goodness sakes!) will be just the opening salvo of the anti- American propaganda they’ll try to force- feed to our children. “Give me four years to educate the children and the seed I have planted will never be unsown.” — Vladimir Lenin
Dial back 85 years, and it's exactly like saying this:
Describing how he uses the program to influence students thinking, Hobart explains, When a student goes, 'I am devoutly Jewish and Ive got family members in Germany. I would like to be a member of the Weimar Republic.' Guess what we make that student? A member of the Nazi Party.
Some of the Republican politicians need to see this.
To me, teaching civil disobedience is akin to trading land for peace.
Teaching civil disobedience in the 1960s has led to today's corrupt and lawless government. We have criminals in the administration, with the will of the people being ignored.
We have the Clinton Crime team. We have open borders, ignoring laws on the books. We have initiatives to mock the family and to persecute Christians.
All this in the name of civil disobedience.

So this moron Professor actually admits this is not about education for kids but political indoctrination? Why would ANY parent allow this for their kids?
“Nor is the program intended to be entirely theoretical. What they have to do by the end is come up with a letter of recommendation on how to bring more effective peace to the Middle East, Hobart explains. We mail it to George Mitchell, our special envoy to the Middle East, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Barack Obama.
This puke should have his head handed to him.
And nazis.
Some of the Republican politicians need to see this.
Heck, we have a FReeper who was actually supporting/defending CommieCore, the other day. I can’t recall who it was, right now...but, they need to take a look at this.
Outrage after outrage after outrage.
When we get enough rage, perhaps we will actually do
something about these monsters.
This “educator” should lose his job. You should not be able to coerce students to take roles abhorrent to them, such as the case cited. And you should not be able to promulgate such obviously tainted “truths” to students. To teach is a sacred privilege which puts one in the position of being able to influence young, trusting minds. The person in that position must not take advantage of it by passing off their own bigotry as truth.
Hopefully our fellow FReeper will see it (and many other uninformed will see it as well).
