Pay should be zero. Politicians are incompetent. Just look at the mess they have gotten this nation in.
America’s premier gang of crooks are doing just fine on their spoils, thank you.
If they have to call themselves “politicians”, then they profess and confess incompetence, or most likely overt corruption. We need statesmen instead.
If Hastings and Hoyer and the rest of the congressional club were paid based on their worth and value to the country, they would have to take a significant pay CUT!! And I mean members of both parties and houses of congress.
