It has been said that, when Ronald Reagan was governor of California, someone told him that admitting students to the University of California on individual performance alone could mean that all the students at Berkeley might be Asian Americans.
“So what?” was the Gipper’s response.

Asian is not a race. It’s a continent, which is an overly broad category. It includes Japanese and Uighurs, which bear no resemblance to one another. Stop using artificial categories.

Theyre better off not attending Harvard.Frankly, in the long run, I don't think it will make a difference to their futures. I personally believe anti-Asian prejudice at the Ivies is great for state schools and second-tier colleges. Colleges are only regurgitating the knowledge of the pioneers. As long as the instructors aren't complete morons (and they generally aren't), it makes no difference. Andrew Grove, one of the founders of Intel, graduated from the City College of New York. If you've got what it takes, nothing can hold you back. Harvard's loss.

One interesting (to me, anyway) detail about the gun-running arrest and trial of Leland Yee out in California is, he's been very vigilant regarding attempts by members of other ethnic groups in the Assembly to pass and push unconstitutional laws violating Prop 209, which (on paper anyway) eliminated quotas in admissions. All of a sudden it became very important to prosecute him for gun-running, even though those activities -- irrespective of who was doing it -- had been going on for some time.

Harvard was build to service the chinese but now poor chinese tiger cubs are being denied their rightful place at Harvard by bad racist whitey. Now they have to go to some other ivy league school. I’m crying my eyes out.

Have a look at Harvard Prof
Shing Tung Yao's graduate students. How many are not chinese?
Amy Chu, the crazy Tiger Mom and Harvard graduate, helped popularize the notion that a chinese kid who is not accepted into Harvard is a complete failure.

Leland Yee ... he's been very vigilant regarding attempts by members of other ethnic groups in the Assembly to pass and push unconstitutional laws violating Prop 209 I don't quite follow. It says here that
On January 30, 2014, Yee voted in favor of California Senate Constitutional Amendment 5.[88][89] The proposed bill asks California voters to repeal provisions of Proposition 209 and permit state universities to consider an applicant's race, ethnicity or national origin in making admissions decisions.
