A 23-year-old Chattanooga man has been charged with criminal homicide after police say he beat a 15-year-old pregnant girl and killed the baby she was carrying.
Police say Justin Armour attacked the girl on Tuesday in a vacant house near 2201 East 3rd Street. She gave birth to the stillborn baby — who Armour fathered — early Wednesday morning.
Medical staff believe the baby died because of trauma from the assault, according to police. The girl was five months pregnant.
The girl and Armour had a history of domestic violence. The girl, who will not be identified by the Times Free Press because she is a minor, had an active order of protection against Armour when the attack occurred, according to court records.
The girl initially told patrol officers that she was walking with Armour and they got into a fight on the street, but investigators later discovered that the girl actually met Armour in the vacant house.
Armour locked the girl in a bedroom and beat her repeatedly throughout the day and into the night, according to police.
The girl told police Armour refused to let her leave. The girl also said Armour kneed her in the mouth, punched her in the ribs and knocked her unconscious. She said she woke up to find him kicking her in the stomach, according to the affidavit.
The girl said she tried to protect her unborn child but was unable to get away.
Armour has been charged with criminal homicide, domestic assault and false imprisonment. Police expect to file more charges as the investigation continues. He is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
The baby's body will be taken to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office for a complete autopsy.
Hopefully the murderer will be found guilty.
He should have brought her to Colorado to do it. It’s legal here.
I have heard of cases of the murder victim being pregnant, and the killer is charged with two murders. Hope that’s the case here. Not sure if laws on that vary state by state.
Does any person on this planet understand that a protective order goes both ways, stay away from the jerk you have the order against. She went walking with him/met him. Granted he is a murderer but she showed no sense of modest intelligence going to be with him.

If she chose to kill the baby, we are told it is not murder. If he chose to do it, it is murder.
Not saying what he did was right, but why should the woman be allowed to get away with the same crime?
At least the left could be honest and call it maternal murder and not their happy euphemism, “Family Planning”. More like Premeditated murder - ok for girls, not for boys.

Yes, an unborn baby was killed. If I was his lawyer, I would base my case on abortion law and parental rights.
It is horrible to say, but it is a miscarriage of justice to convict the father for something we subsidize the mother to do. He should be convicted for horribly beating the girl (and btw, what kind of girl would CHOOSE to be with such an animal?), but as long as abortion remains legal (and subsidized), nobody should be convicted of murder for killing an unborn child, regardless of the circumstances.
A person is a person by God’s endowment, not by a mother’s plans. If it is legal to abort, then the law cannot view the unborn child as a person. If they are not a person, then there can be no murder. This harmonic dissonance must be corrected before we can ever hope to end abortion.
It is by allowing the intentions of the mother to magically change a child from a blob to a human, and back again that we endorse the concept of “choice”.
I was just reading another case where a guy beat a two year old to death. Wasn’t even his kid and incredibly he was arrested before for choking another kid and burning him with a cigarette and the charges were dismissed. Lovely. I wonder what liberal oversaw that case. Now a 2 year old little boy is dead.

sometimes I think men are just jealous and feel slighted that they can't just end pregnancies at their will....in the animal world, they do just that...and the muzzie world....perhaps there's a bunch of freepers that long for those days...

You sound like a pro-tiny-baby-killer...how do you square the law charging him with murder when that same law allows that same life to be snuffed in the doctor’s office? How can a rational person not understand how this is intimately tied to abortion? I guess the word “rational” answers my question in your case. If you are going to defend a murder charge against him, you have to create a moral distinction in the law between the two situations. I warn you, I will tear you up in this debate, should you choose to pursuit it.
When you allow the law this false distinction, you are conceding that a woman’s choice makes the difference between “it” being a human life and a blob.

I am not faulting the 15 year old at all other than common sense by continually seeking out this loser that abused her. He is a predator and a murderer. It is more a commentary on the lack/absence of parenting. Mom to give advice and dad to beat the shiite out of this guy.
