I’ve had multiple similar encounters with groups of officers and the percentages were not good. So have several of my friends in the neighborhood. Everyone I know around the country with experience with cops says the same and NOT ONCE have I met someone who was actually helped by a cop. Nobody in my neighborhood would dream of calling them these days.
Out of my multiple encounters, TWO COPS I personally dealt with (out of 15-20) were obviously disgusted with the way the others treated me but they were always outnumbered and did not say anything. The other cops ALL participated in abuse and acted like schoolyard bullies.
I’m sorry your experience is an example of the exact opposite my own experience with law enforcement.
I have given officers plenty of reason to come down hard on me at times, and yet they showed reasoned restraint.
This wasn’t always predicated on my family members being involved with law enforcement, because the particular situations involved agencies other than the ones my relatives were working for.
That you haven’t heard of anyone being helped by officers is rather comical. I don’t care how bad the area is, officers still get family dispute calls in which they diffuse the situation and save lives.
Each one of your posts reveals more of your bias. I at least can admit there are bad players. Despite you being able to state you do know of a few good players, you dismiss them outright to claim cops are bad when I say they aren’t all bad.
