It’s all over

Only rat in the race, Walter Zinn, places first with 17%

Alcorn County Prosecuting Attorney Trent Kelly (R) is 2nd with 16%.

Henry Ross, who is the only candidate I’ve seen touted here (maybe cause those world beaters at Tea Party Express endorsed him) is 7th with 5%.

Looks like there were just too many Republicans in the race to keep Zinn from getting into the runoff. But Kelly is heavily favored.

33% of the voters decide the “winners”, while 67% get the shaft. This has got to change.

Henry really didn’t have any money, he did get 11% here in DeSoto county, the most populous in the district, to run 3rd of 13 and he did carry Webster, his home county. Trent Kelly only received 2 or 3% in DeSoto. Tagert, Boyd, Jones, Pirkle and Whitwell ran a lot of TV adds here. Henry ran ahead of Boyd, Whitwell and Pirkle here in Desoto County and led Boyd and Whitwell in the district. Henry was 7th of 13 with 5+%. None of the big spenders fared well, Tagert was third with 13 or 14%, he will still be on the ballot for Northern Mississippi Transportation Commissioner. Tagert was the US Chamber and the Haley Barbour candidate, he said he was Conservative and against amnesty but that can’t be true when you belong to Haley Barbour and the US Chamber. I voted for Tagert for the Transportation post four years ago but I’ll not vote for him this time.
