Like Whitewater, the tumult over the Clinton Foundation began with a story on the front page of the New York Times.
And like Whitewater, which was covertly promoted by a right-wing Pittsburgh billionaire named Richard Mellon Scaife, this new “scandal” has been promoted by another group of right-wing billionaires, namely Charles and David Koch and their friends, whose “dark money” organizations have provided lavish funding to create and promote “Clinton Cash” — along with its publisher HarperCollins, controlled by Rupert Murdoch.
The book’s author, Peter Schweizer, is a former speechwriter to George W. Bush and adviser to Sarah Palin who heads a think-tank called the Government Accountability Institute, which has received millions of dollars over the past few years from Donors Trust, a secretive conduit of money from the Koch brothers and other wealthy Republicans.
Other donors to Schweizer’s organization, which subsidized the research and writing of his book, include the single largest donor to the presidential campaign of Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. During the 2012 election cycle, the “non-partisan” Government Accountability Institute, then a new entity, used its tax-exempt funding to launch several harsh attacks on President Obama that were later determined to be inaccurate by the Washington Post.
Despite the obvious bias of the sources, however, the various accusations against Hillary Clinton should be evaluated according to accuracy, not intention.

I am waiting for the list of those “working” for the Clinton foundation to be juxtaposed against those who are working on the Clinton Campaign to be published in an easy to make the connection document. Every scum bag who has been part of the Clinton Machine starting with Arkansas and later with the Clintoon whitehouse has some kind of “position” with the foundation IMO. IOW, this is nothing more than a campaign apparatus flying under the auspices of a tax deductable foundation or a way to get a deduction for a political contribution while sheltering the name of the donator.
I guess Hillary’s breathing a sigh of relief——she survived the emails brouhaha-—and now Joe Conason’s wiping her tokus WRT the foundation criminality.

The problem here is that a majority of US voters have developed a high tolerance for political corruption. There was a time that a shill like Joe Conason would be laughed off the public stage his career ruined.
I couldn't agree more, and what is needed is an investigation by the FBI, but that ain't gonna happen.
Both of these grifters should be in federal prison in isolation for life, but that ain't gonna happen.

No, they don’t. Hillary starts with 247 electoral votes from states guaranteed to go Democrat, gets the black, Hispanic, & entitlement vote, picks up two swing states & 270 e.v.’s are in the bag. Even if Hellary loses the popular vote, she wins.

So it IS a vast right wing conspiracy! I just started reading it and there's much in the book that hasn't been covered at all in the press. No wonder the dems are in full panic.
I wanted to see which camp Conason signed on to.
He would either go the Trotsky route (Hillary Clinton) or the Stalin route (OTrama and Valerie Jarrett).
Looks like he chose Trotsky, and history shows how that one played out.
