".....We also tested Walker against all of the other potential Democratic candidates, and he leads them by wide margins. He's up 15 on both Lincoln Chafee (41/26) and Bernie Sanders (43/28), and 18 on both Martin O'Malley (43/25) and Jim Webb (44/26). Those large deficits are largely a function of the candidates' name recognition- because it's so low, only 53-58% of Democrats even commit to voting for those folks against Walker in a general election. But at any rate Clinton is by far and away the strongest candidate for the general in the Democratic field.
The Republican primary field in Arizona is a jumbled mess, as it is most places, with 5 different candidates polling in double digits but none of them getting more than 16%. Scott Walker leads the way with that 16% followed by Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio at 14%, Rand Paul and Ben Carson at 11%, Ted Cruz at 9%, Chris Christie and Mike Huckabee at 5%, and Rick Perry at 2%.
Walker leads the field thanks to his strong support from voters who identify themselves as 'very conservative.' He gets 32% with Carson, Cruz, and Paul all tying for second back at 11%. Walker is only third with 'somewhat conservative' voters and 8th with moderates, but the strong support on the right gives him the slight overall lead.
Even though Walker's in first place by a negligible amount this poll might be most encouraging for Rubio. His 61% favorability rating is the best in the field by a large margin- Huckabee at 52% has the next best rating. Rubio is also the most frequently named second choice among Republicans in the state- overall 32% of GOP voters say he's their first or second choice with Walker at 29% and Bush at 24%.
The Arizona Republican numbers also continue several other trends we've seen in our recent polling. Chris Christie is extremely unpopular with GOP primary voters- only 22% have a favorable opinion of him to 42% with a negative one. And Jeb Bush continues to struggle with voters identifying themselves as 'very conservative'- he's in 6th place with them for the nomination and has only a 39/38 favorability rating......" Continued
Walker never endorses amnesty. So you are a liar.
He does say that our legal immigration system needs to be easier so people who want to come and really work can do so. This is a common position as the current immigration system is bloated bureaucracy. Walker wants to make it less intrusive and more conducive to those who WANT to be here rather than those who are FORCED to be here.
It is a FAR BETTER position than Ted Cruz, who simply wants to give all the illegals work permits (like Obama) and simultaneously increase H1B Visa’s by 500%.
So, please show me where there is any lack of conservatism in Walker’s position...streamline a constitutional government function and oppose amnesty.
You keep repeating this, but please show proof or shut your filthy, lying mouth.
The establishment GOP did not want to put money into Walker's recall fight in Wisconsin until they saw him coming back in the polls.
So, please reveal this grand conspiracy to us or you are nothing more than a wild-eyed accuser with ZERO proof.
Cruz is raising more money from Wall Street than Walker, but Cruz is pure and Walker is tainted.
You really have a mental disorder with regard to Walker.
Since you are totally ill-informed (only liberal sources that support your mental issues) try this:
Environmentalists are criticizing Gov. Scott Walker’s budget for making steep cuts in personnel in a science and research bureau at the Department of Natural Resources.
The employees include scientists and others with master’s and doctoral degrees who perform research for the DNR on environmental regulation and wildlife management policy.
Walker’s budget would cut 18.4 positions in the Bureau of Scientific Services.
Yeah, Walker is a real RINO.
Jeff Sessions: Scott Walkers Pro American Worker Immigration Stance Helpful For The Republic
I see you are quoting Jeb Bush aides now.
You are revealed for the troll and liberal supporter you are.
You are INCAPABLE of touching Walker's record as an elected leader.
All you can offer is liberal innuendo, twisted quotes and LIES.
Yes, you are a filthy LIAR
Nothing more, but probably a lot less.
OK, I am going to try and reason with you and enlighten you.
Maybe you should really look into Walker rather than rely on liberal headlines and what “purists” are trying to feed you.
Support for legal immigration and making it easier is not amnesty. You should agree with that.
If you go back and read/listen to Walker’s comments, you will see that he speaks often about legal immigration.
On illegal immigration, Walker has always opposed amnesty. He was OK with work permits, but wanted illegals to go back to their countries and apply for legal immigration. This is Ted Cruz’s current position.
After going to the border states, speaking with governors and with Jeff Sessions, Walker adopted Sessions’ stance on illegal and legal immigration.
There is no real inconsistency here.
Please tell me what action did Walker take that constitutes a sellout?
He sold out Conservatives on ILLEGAL Immigration !
Please cite the ACTION Walker took that sold out conservatives on illegal immigration.
That’s only been linked to, more times than I care to count, on several of these “PRO Walker SELLOUT Threads” .
Then it should be easy for you to put that link here.
But because it is not an action of Walker, but twisting of his words, you realize you are firing blanks.
