Mitt Romney, who earlier this year decided against a third presidential bid after briefly flirting with a run, will jump back into the national political scene next month when he hosts GOP presidential hopefuls and some of the partys biggest donors in Utah.
Romneys 2015 E2 Summit will take place June 11-13 in Deer Valley, a ski resort east of Salt Lake City, according to an invitation obtained Thursday by The Washington Post.
Confirmed speakers from the likely 2016 Republican field include Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.).
Former Florida governor Jeb Bush, long seen as a Romney rival due to tensions between their camps, was invited but will not attend, per a Romney ally.
The format will be similar to that of the past, with speakers on a range of topics throughout the day and outdoor enthusiast activities each morning and Saturday afternoon, wrote Spencer Zwick, Romneys former national finance chairman, in the invitation to Romneys associates.

He's back in the race by July.
If Jeb is out, it is possible, but not likely. He was supposed to be a placeholder for the Bush clan and the only way he is going to jump in is if the Bush clan decides to throw in the towel for 2016 and ask Mutt to hold their place again.
I doubt it. He knows he's done.
I don’t see Jeb running. But then I didn’t see Hillary running either, and look how that turned out.
Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton couldn’t make it?
No one at that retreat will get my vote.
Ahem.
Ted Cruz wasn’t mentioned in the article, but that doesn’t mean anything. Hopefully he was invited and will accept.
Bet you a decent steak dinner.
Agreed. We have a decent field even now and Mitt would completely suck all the air out of the room.
Five bucks to FR, says if invited, he will not attend.
Romney is trying to establish himself as the “senior statesman” of the GOP, probably eyeing the Secretary of State job in the next GOP Administration.
Senior leaders (not necessarily officeholders) of both Parties sponsor these sorts of confabs. One of the more famous ones was in 1990 or 1991 for the potential Dem candidates and held by Pamela Harriman. It really helped give Clinton the boost he needed to get the nomination. Of course all Harriman got out of it was the Ambassadorship to France.
I’ll take that one, too.
I never watch TV news, especially Fox, but I was at my
mothers Monday morning and she watches. Anyway, Mitt was on
and must have been asked about the 2016 prospects and he
ended up rattling off everyone’s name EXCEPT Ted Cruz. LOL.
That, as well as this has to be intentional, but I’m sure
I don’t know what it means.
Purist! Why do you hate America? It’s a lesser evil! If you don’t elect the RINO then the terrorists win! HILLARY! OBAMA!
Did I miss any? I do like to be thorough...
The Walker invite surprises me a bit. His recent “protect American workers” stand doesn’t seem to jive with this Chamber of Commerce/GOPe crowd.
I want to say that i could NOT care less what romney, the father of communist health care does or says ever. He was a non entity when I stayed home last time with my entire family. Either give us a real conservative (no Rino) or 11 million of us will give you the bitch. You better not do that again.
I won’t bet. I’m to used to being disappointed. :(
