Lindsey Graham is telling donors that June 1 is the likely date for his presidential announcement, according to several sources familiar with the conversations.

The announcement would likely take place in South Carolina, possibly near his home base of Seneca, according to the sources, which would enable the GOP senator to highlight a compelling personal story not widely known outside his home state.

I would crawl through a field of prickly pears to vote against him.

It's gone from covert to overt. This is ridiculous. The Republican primary season is a joke, clinging to this stupid idea that "we" -- that is, a select group of people in select states far away from most Americans, via primary protocol -- get to choose, the bigger the pickin's, the better!

Wrong. The more candidates, the more likely a minority-choice outcome. Really, we already have one serious candidate, already declared, a blessing, and "Republicans" are looking for something better and going about it the same way that EVERY TIME ends up with a lousy candidate. But this is so ridiculous with all these candidates who are so obviously making vanity runs -- it's overt sabotage. Get real.

Third party, Ted. Cut it off at the pass.

Voting "against" is pretend. You only get to vote for.

Nope. Now is NOT the time for 3rd party for Cruz. He's got an important role in the GOP right now, and there are many more votes there than in any 3rd party.

You have idiots here on FR that will vote for any (R) that wins the primary.

Cruz can be that (R).

Don't confuse rhetoric, no matter how good it feels, with action that actually accomplishes something.

I'll take your word for it.

But johnny, chances of Cruz getting the nomination are slim. I would even say unlikely. I would say Cruz getting the nomination would be like the Indians' win in "Major League." Possible, because all things are possible, but ... unlikely.

You're probably right my timing is off ... but on the other hand ... offense is what we need, and offense is what the R never plays.

Cruz does play offense. He's got a direction, and he means to take American government back to Constitutional grounds of limited government. That is unique to Cruz; all other Rs, every one, still react from a defense approach. I hope it's enough to get him the nomination against a stacked deck. But I'm not holding my breath! {^)

Regardless of whether he gets the nomination or not, Cruz has changed the conversation. They can't take that back.

Me, and a lot of people like me are paying real money to make sure Cruz is the nominee.

You are looking for a rhetorical win, as are many on FR, because we haven't had one in such a long time, but rhetoric doesn't feed the bull dog.

Real action and money do.

I encourage everyone to join in working to make sure that Cruz wins.

Armchair warriors need not apply.

Ha! When I first looked at the title I read it as Lindsay Lohan, because she was in the local news again, and then I realized what the hell, they’re both dumb bitches.

Good. Lindsay will split the RINO squish vote (for a change) taking votes from Jebster.

I haven't given money to a candidate for a long time, but I've given to Cruz.

And until he gives me a reason not to I'll give more.

Seeing that sleazebag Grahamnesty get re-nominated and elected again last year reminds me of Palin’s empty boasting ~ late 2012 early 2013 about it being RINO hunting season.

‘Right on’ the suckers responded. All talk.

Grahamnesty is the worse.

The only thing compelling associated with Lindsay Graham is the urge to spend my life savings trying to throw him out of office.

I live in Alabama.
