Is it possible if he had been standing in the van that when the van turned a corner he fell and hit his head or neck?

What about the man who just died in Mexico from falling off a treadmill and smashed his head and died if one can believe that then why not the other.

I’ve seen video of the van. It’s practically impossible to stand up in it. At best, you’d have to bend your knees and bend your neck.
