Actually, I’ve enjoyed pointing out to people elsewhere that when it came to fraud and identify and intimidating opponents and threats, Nixon was basically a choir boy compared to FDR and LBJ and the Kennedy brothers. I can reasonably assume FDR did not give Hoover orders to spy on Charles Lindbergh, amongst others, just because Hoover had a thing for wearing women’s things under his 3 piece suits.

Guaranteed to piss off liberals on discussion boards when you mention such things.

Thanks for the interesting article and forgive my repeating of myth #1 in my initial post, lol. I took a look at Wikipedia’s write up on Hoover and it mentioned that Richard Nixon was quoted in 1971 saying he did not want to fire Hoover over fear of possible reprisals from Hoover.

Still eye opening to see how Hoover was put to very good use by Democrat presidents over the years, though.

I said as soon as we heard the book Clinton Cash was announced that there would be comparisons between the Clinton Foundation and what William Magear "Boss" Tweed did when hen controlled New York City's famous Tammany Hall between the early 1850's and 1873. And it appears the comparisons are more valid than people think.
