Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has taken time out from raising money while in San Francisco to visit a tea shop in Chinatown. Scores of tourists and residents were waiting outside the Red Blossom Tea Company Wednesday as Clinton chatted inside with shop owner Alice Luong and Mayor Ed Lee. She was presented with three different teas, including a green and an oolong.

Clinton greeted the mayor with a hug outside the shop and waved at bystanders. There were several boos shouted at her when she departed nearly an hour later. Clinton, the favorite presidential candidate of millionaires, was in San Francisco Wednesday for her second of two fundraisers of the day, as she stumps across the country in the hopes of becoming president, with immigration reform as the latest topic of the day.

Stephanie Chuang reports.

The first "Conversation with Hillary" was held Wednesday afternoon at the home of hedge fund billionaire turned environmentalist Tom Steyer. According to her campaign, that event brought in at least $310,000. For the first event, protesters from the Center for Biological Diversity showed up along with "Frostpaw the Polar Bear" and other climate activists to urge a rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline. "No KXL, No KXL," they chanted. "Stand with us Hillary."

According to the center, the Environmental Protection Agency has said that developing the tar sands that would be carried by the pipeline would be the pollution equivalent of fumes spewing from 5.7 million cars over the next 50 years.

“She has some strong words on climate but we’ve yet to see firm commitment to strong climate policies. We really want to see her words come to action," said the center's Valerie Love. Clinton has yet to take a public position on the pipeline.

Wednesday night's event, at the home of longtime friend and supporter Susie Tompkins Buell, cofounder of Esprit and The North Face, is expected to bring in at least $620,000.

On Friday, Clinton will host her final "conversation" at the home of Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe and John Donahoe in Portola Valley. Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe is a former affilate of Stanford University's Center for International Security and Cooperation; John Donahoe is eBay's CEO. Each event is $2,700 a person. Turns out, Clinton is the favorite presidential candidate among millionaire voters, according to a CNBC survey conducted in March whose results were released Wednesday.

But Clinton's focus is not on the environment for this visit.

On Tuesday, the former secretary of state, senator and first lady pledged to take further executive actions if Congress fails to pass comprehensive immigration reform. And she accused Republicans of advocating to give undocumented workers "second class status," NBC News reported.

Clinton made the remarks after meeting with youths at Rancho High School in Las Vegas, which is 70 percent Hispanic. Clinton said if she is elected president she would expand DACA provisions to include parents who had deep roots in the U.S., noting that it is time for "a path to full and equal citizenship.”

It always makes me chuckle to see “Hillary Clinton” and “stump” in the same sentence.

I want to punch a @#$@#$ing wall after reading this article. The tar sands will be the equivalent of 14 BILLION TRILLION CARS driving at 300mph for FOUR THOUSAND YEARS!!! STFU idiots. and I HATE Steyer.

And treating ILLEGAL aliens like second class citizens. well WT@ is she not getting?

I no long have a president if that disgusting creature wins. And, IMHO, all bets are off if the unthinkable happen. She is only up by 2 to 7 points. If Asians, Jews, and Single White women and young white men would WAKE UP we could win easily. what do these groups SEE IN demonRATS?

Hillary is going to suck as much donation milk as she can
now
because the D party is (desperately) searching for a more saleable candidate

Hillary is damaged merchandise, badly damaged after her secretary of state and bribery, phony charity scandals

the D leadership wants to prevent the country from undoing or repairing all the damage it inflicted on us these past 6 years.

they can’t do this if they run a loser like Hillary.
