@grumpy: that was the '70s.

Point well taken though.

Btw, the ACLU defended the Nazis back then.

I guaran-damn-tee you that the 2015 ACLU would be on the OTHER side.

Do you see the ACLU on the side of bakers, florists, and pizza makers on the point of "unpopular" opinions?

Nope.

Why? It's simple: Nazis are far-left socialists. The ACLU is comprised of far-left socialists. It's only logical that the latter will always support their ideological kin.

It may not be superficially apparent, but the ACLU is being consistent.

Actually, the ACLU likes to defend anti-liberty organizations such as the neo-Nazis in Skokie, and the communists especially in the 1950s. They also have a penchant for supporting libertine causes that undermine morality (especially Christianity) and lead to individual degradation which can be used to justify state control. I think that’s because that ACLU has its roots or at least connections with occultism.

However, the ACLU will not generally defend constitutionalists and in particular those that defend life, individual economic freedom, religious liberty, and 2nd amendment; anything that gives real power to the individual to resist tyranny and evil.
