English playwright Ben Jonson (1572 – 1637), best known for his satirical plays, anticipated and almost specifically identified our modern prince when he wrote,

I know a lot UK freepers like the tradition of the monarchy but....ugh. Get rid of these tabloid clown show and have Parliament elect someone to be the symbolic Head of State to serve for a fixed term or for life until a retirement age. You could still call them the King/Queen.
