Portland police used tear gas, flash bangs and what they called "noise distractionary devices" to try and disperse protesters in downtown Portland Friday evening. At least one officer was injured during the clashes.

No arrests were made.

The group Don't Shoot Portland, protesting excessive force by law enforcement, marched through downtown Portland Friday afternoon and joined an unrelated May Day rally for immigrant rights.

Hundreds of marchers began winding their way through downtown Portland at 4:30 p.m., but some protesters disregarded the planned route and walked against traffic. TriMet buses and MAX trains were delayed.Streets in downtown Portland were blocked for hours during the Don't Shoot Portland march, which continued through the evening. Protesters tried unsuccessfully to walk onto the Burnside Bridge.

Protesters confronted police as bicycle and riot cops tried to hold lines on city streets. Demonstrators approached police, and in some instances police fired pepper spray, tear gas, "stingballs" and flash bangs at protesters.

At least one officer was injured after he was punched in the face, according to Portland police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson.

Sunday, May 3[edit]

During a press conference at the Kent firehouse, an emotional Governor Rhodes pounded on the desk[18] and called the student protesters un-American, referring to them as revolutionaries set on destroying higher education in Ohio. “We’ve seen here at the city of Kent especially, probably the most vicious form of campus oriented violence yet perpetrated by dissident groups. They make definite plans of burning, destroying, and throwing rocks at police, and at the National Guard and the Highway Patrol. This is when we’re going to use every part of the law enforcement agency of Ohio to drive them out of Kent. We are going to eradicate the problem. We’re not going to treat the symptoms. And these people just move from one campus to the other and terrorize the community. They’re worse than the brown shirts and the communist element and also the night riders and the vigilantes”, Rhodes said. “They’re the worst type of people that we harbor in America. Now I want to say this. They are not going to take over [the] campus. I think that we’re up against the strongest, well-trained, militant, revolutionary group that has ever assembled in America.”[19] Rhodes can be heard in the recording of his speech yelling and pounding his fists on the desk.[20][21]

it’s time for police and our Armed Forces to stop taking their orders from their politically appointed overseers .

It’s time for them to truly restore law and order to a nation spinning out of control due to 7 years of Leftist Alinskyite command and control NO MORE! and NO Hillary ! H.Clinton was a personal correspondent with Alinsky himself and forever ideologically tainted ; WORSE than even Obama if elected .

Of course not. Those protesters have families with big bucks and ties to local governments.
