“Time to step up.”
I’ve already stepped up...I’ll be voting for Cruz. Fact is, I’ll be voting for Cruz regardless of how many times his detractors want to make an issue of this nonsense.

I know. All the issues conservatives have to be concerned with, and on which Cruz has spoken on behalf of conservative principles, and people want to try to make this an issue? It's not like he didn't make it perfectly clear where he stood, and that he didn't know the vote tally. This is grasping at straws for those who want to undermine a good conservative candidate. He's not perfect, but he's as close as we're likely to get anymore, and he's a darn sight closer to perfect than the Romneys, MCains, Jeb Bushes, Lindsey Grahams, et al, who keep getting served up like moldy leftovers.

Well, let's just say if Walker was a senator and did the same thing, I kind of think - no - I know you would be taking advantage of Walker's error to criticize him and worse, but since it is your chosen one who screwed up (yes, he did), you blush a little, say "aw shucks" as you look down at the gravel being moved around by your shoes.
He screwed up and should have been there to vote. This is not complicated and that is why something simple like this resonates deeply because people know he was not doing his job that he was elected to do.
